Old buck. Teeth were worn down almost to the gums. Patience paid off. Past on 5 other bucks before he came to the scrape I was sitting on. Not my best buck to dated but I thought you might enjoy seeing him.

Punched my tag on a good buck a couple of days ago, just thought I'd share a picture since it's so slow these days...

Well if you’ve never used it then I don’t care what you think tbh. The question was pretty clear it was for people who have used it in the field

I posted this on my story and most of the responses I got were something like “why you looking at cow odds? Fag.”

Bump! Not might be the most expensive rifle. This package shoots great I have seen it. Would make a great turnkey youth rifle.

Fire Extringuisher. Two large cans of tire flat fix, replace them every other year. Two Spares. A Craftsman Tool KIt that fits behind the rear seat. It has all teh common SAE and Metric stuff. A Bottle Jack. A 20' tow strap. A spare Camshaft Sensor. Some wrenches and screwdrivers. Some snacks, few bottles of water and a blanket. Tire air pump. Buy new tires every 30K. Buy the best batteries every 5 years and only buy AGM's. Spare serpentine belt. Change oil every year, usually 3-5K. Recondition the air filter every 2K or 6 months. Drive the same truck since new back in February of 2000, 322K. Pop the hood and look around at stuff every week or so, with the engine running and off. Change the fluids as needed.

Story is short and simple. Had a tough hunt, punched my 2023 tag on the last day on a smaller buck, jacked my ankle pretty bad packing it out. Unfortunate, because I had a Javelina tag and a 2024 tag. Fortunately after a few days of rest at camp I was able to get a brace on it and limp around killing my javelina. By the last few days I was able to navigate a little on the hillsides, so I got after the coues again. Encountered this buck the day before I killed him, bumped him with does and really couldn't pursue him where he went. Returned the next day, turned him up around some does, slipped in and had him walk to 12 yards behind a doe. Could only see his head and we were in a standoff. The doe eventually blew, the buck bolted but curled back to look for the doe. Stopped at 27 for a brief moment and I arrowed him....

While getting rid of the invasive species let's get rid of the invasive hunters that are not native to Arizona so us native hunters have a chance to hunt like it used to be. Don't like my comments keep in mind I don't care!

I grew up having never seen a deer in the wild till I was 21. I literally started from scratch on my own for the most part and it took me 9 years to finally get a deer. I was drawn for a great hunt in the desert and a work mate who was a very successful hunter took pity on me and helped me get this deer. He took me to his spot, this was actually only the 3rd largest deer I saw that day but he was the one I ended up with and I have no regrets. I watched him battle another buck. He's 28 5/8" outside width. My 1st's are: 1st javalina in 1984, deer in 1986, antelope in 1990, elk in 1998, bison in 2009, Coues in 2011, turkey in 2013, lion in 2016. Still need bear and sheep for the 10. Hunting doesn't come naturally to me but I do have the determination to stay with it until I succeed! Mule Deer 1986.pdf
