Lacey was able to harvest her first deer with the gun she won in the youth raffle. Day 1 - glassed up some does, but noticed that all deer were heading to water around 9am. Day 2 - glassed until around 830am, then headed to a water tank and sat in a blind that we had built the previous afternoon. About 930am, two bucks came in and she was able to drop this one with one shot at 100 yards. It went about 15 feet and expired. Her little sister opted to use the raffle rifle on the remainder of the hunt as she could shoot it better than her own. She had a shot opportunity on the last day at a spike but didn't connect. The girls and I had taken the gun out to practice prior to the hunt and were able to shoot a 1/2" group with the Hornady Precision Hunter ammo. The adjustable stock and muzzle break were a perfect combo. Thanks Crazymonkey, for putting this together and to all that contributed.

We got to do a tour today of SoFi stadium, home of the RAMS! Went thru suites, seats, locker rooms for Rams and Chargers, I found my way into Rams coaches locker rooms and found Sean McVay head coaches locker/office before being kicked out lol. Was able to see the Chargers Medical Room, sterile room, was told they can even do surgery there. Played on the field for about 30 minutes, throwing the ball around and just having fun! Able to run out of the Rams tunnel onto the field. Sit/stand Rams sideline, well and Chargers side too. Lol What an impressive stadium, from design, to amenities and wow the suites were awesome, but the Owners Club suites/lounge was killer. Private elevator own kitchen/bar and well appointed.

This is what annoys me most about anti hunters. The large majority still eat meat but have no idea really. It doesn't get any more organic and free range animals eating God's diet.

Actually what I believe is, you may be of the last generations of Democrats that know where meat comes from. Lol

My Dad took that class with Mr. Cobb and Mr Granio. In 1979 and 80. He said that's how He learned how to butcher and package . FFA and agriculture was big back then. My Dad still has his FFA jacket He got in 1976 and it still looks brand new. 😀

Just as the title says I want to buy a 43x MOS NIB or close. I don't want or need a optic but want the option later. If you have one or know of one please reach out. I know what they cost new so please don't send offers above retail.

7 PRC is just the latest of Hornady's cartridges that do nothing different than many others before it. They have perfected this practice and make millions of dollars every year on the latest greatest wonder cartridge they come up with. As you said in your post the 7 Mag is capable of doing some amazing things even at standard mag length and is a simple no muss no fuss performer. The seating depth thing is one of those things that solves a problem that doesn't necessarily exist. For example, the .260 Remington, 7 Mag, 300 Win mag have and will continue to shoot extremely well despite gun writers claiming they won't because the bullet seats too far in the case. Yes the bullet takes up powder space but so does making a shorter case i.e. the 6.5 Creedmoor or 7 PRC. 2800 fps is still 2800fps and if it shoots good it shoots good regardless of where bullet is seated. I have built a few 7PRCs now and a metric butt ton of Creedmoors and I haven't seen either one shoot smaller or out perform the others. The only thing that the 7 PRC has going for it, is that it eliminates the belt and factory rifles are coming with faster twist barrels. But that only matters if you plan on shooting the 195s. 180 and below a standard twist 7 mag will work just fine. The 7 PRC does absolutely nothing different or better than the 7 mag on paper or in the field. The Game will never know the difference.

I have several from Axisworks and love them. He just did the 6.5prc my son got for Christmas. The big 5 port I got from him for my other son is big but WORKS. my recoil shy 11yr old can shoot my 300 win mag. Even the smaller brakes work great too. My 8yr old isn't recoil shy and was shooting my 338 win mag at the range the other day.

A few years ago when I got to my tree stand there was another hunter sitting it, I told him it was my stand, and he said in AZ it's first come first serve, I told him that was fine, I'd go sit somewhere else. Before I left, I took all my tree steps going to the tree stand, he seemed upset. he was screaming something about first come when I walked away, I hope he got down ok.

My oldest son drew his first deer tag and I was pumped it was in a unit that I've had great success in for coues. His tag was good for either coues or mule deer. His hunt was over Thanksgiving break so we had no worries about school. My dad and my 2nd oldest boy joined us on the trip. My dad left early the Friday before the opener to get camp setup and we left town soon after the boys got of school. A 4.5 hour drive later we arrived. I had a real hard time sleeping that night like a kid on Christmas eve. Opening morning found us overlooking a big bowl that I killed my buck in last year. Not even a rabbit was moving in there. The next few days were good with a few encounters here and there with really small bucks. It was a grind to find good bucks and I was starting to feel the pressure. Wednesday morning found us sitting a saddle that we could overlook a a tank that some good deer had been using. Around 10:30a a good buck was glassed up and it was on. We set up where the buck should come out about 100 yards out. Like planned the buck read the script and my boy punched him with a perfect shot. His first deer and his first coues. I was super pumped and we hugged high fived and rolled around. We got his buck taken care of and headed home with smiles.
