Been chasing deer in Arizona with my bow for more than half my life, never been able to connect until yesterday. My first coues in nearly 10 years. Very grateful to share the experience with my parents, couldn’t have gone any better - 48 yard shot, buck expired in sight. Already looking forward to doing it again January 1st!

Buy the high tech electronic tools he needs off the truck. He can buy great tools online but it is convenient to deal with tool warranties in person on the truck. He should research becoming a Caterpiller tech. My brother in law is a Cat tech and has been sent to all kinds of training . He works on Cat engines and heavy equipment in a big clean shop with all the right tools and equipment.

I had a really good time. I skipped opening weekend to avoid the crowds and only saw 2 other hunters the whole time. I hunted for 3 days camped on Cloverdale road and then moved up to Geronimo trail. I was hunting alone so I planned on hiking early each morning and getting around 3 miles in before sunup, I hunted until around midafternoon each day and then walked out before dark. I saw 3 small bucks on Cloverdale side and 2 small bucks on Geronimo side. Never saw a shooter. I saw lots of does, especially on the Geronimo side. Also, lots of turkeys both places. I liked the country, it had a little of everything. I hunt 23 NM and 36B AZ and this area had a mixture of both vegetation, oaks and juniper on the same hill. Lots of country to hunt, backpackers definitely have an advantage, and I am sure there are big deer that are never seen. Might try this on an earlier season warmer hunt. Only other issue was hard glassing in thick vegetation, but that is just how it is. Its a learning curve and I will put in for it again.

My son, Jacob, has decided to take his love of turkey hunting and turkey calls, and fly fishing, and make it a side hustle. In the past, he's made turkey calls and tied flies for donations to help raise money for his various adventures (GCY river trips, TKD black belt promotions, etc.). Now he is stepping into the world of making turkey calls (pot calls) and tying flies to help him earn spending money. Jacob has kicked around the idea for a couple of years, but now he's committing to it. If you're interested, you can reach out to me or I can put you in touch with him directly. He's building his Instagram page, so please check that out and give him a follow @Wooldridge_Calls. He currently has one call for sale and has one posted he made for me showing their effectiveness. We're working with him on fair pricing to be competitive and still make money without being greedy. He's 2 weeks from turning 16 and learning that aspect with our guidance. He has access to various wood types for both pots and strikers and can make the calling surface and sound board slate, glass, copper, aluminum. He can work with you on a design or come up with one on his own. Jacob's pot calls are all I carry now when I'm turkey hunting and I always go for his flies first when I'm fly fishing. I've never been disappointed. Below are some pics of his earlier pot calls and some flies he's tied. He hasn't gotten any fly pics up on his IG page, but he's planning to shortly. Thanks for considering. Pot Calls Sound.mp4

Up For Sale is a Browning Hi Power Practical in 9mm. I bought this gun new in 1994. It's been pretty much a safe queen as I prefer my revolvers. My guess is 1000 to 1500 rounds fired through it. Never been modified in any way and it shoots and functions perfectly. It comes with the original plastic case, both Browning magazines, and manual. The original grips have started to tear at the back strap where it transitions to one side and they are included. At the moment it is wearing a set of Mil-Tak G10 grips that I fell in love with. They were about 100.00. If you rather, I have a set of Esmeralda Cocobolo grips (about 100.00) for the BBQ gun look, lol. Either set comes with the gun but not both unless you want to toss in another 50.00. I also have several 15 round mags, virtually new that we could bargain with. The pictured holster could go home with you for another 40.00 (Bianchi if memory serves) but not the gun belt. Asking 1100.00. It is a beautiful piece! Text 602-571-0921 Thanks for looking, Bruce

Got out late this morning, loaded my first 3 shells at 7:50 and shot my 15th bird by 9:56. Not huge numbers in any particular covey but a ton of smaller coveys (8-12) birds. When I got done cleaning by 10:30 they were still talking up a storm all around me. An abundance of birds out here!!!

Saturday the 2nd Muledeerarea33 and I seen a toad of a buck chasing does. He was a solid 100+ buck. Does didn't want anything to do with him. It was probably in the upper teens that morning and down by the border. Anyhow hope this helps.

If you were looking on an iPhone, I've found that I have issues sometimes with not being able to scroll the whole list. I saw an explanation that made sense, but I don't honestly remember what it was.

This is my dad's friend Aaron he's a Texas boy and married to my dad's old high school girlfriend. Aaron lives in Texas and put in for 40 years in Oklahoma for elk to never get a tag. This guy has a broken back and shattered a leg from falling outta a treestand. So getting around is not easy. Sat every day from the opener till yesterday . It was catching up to him so he stayed back in the morning. I went to see how he was at lunch and took him in to his spot. Had 4 bulls come in with just one cow . He made a great shot and she was rocking. The big bull still tried to hit it as she was clearing the dam for the water hole . Funny stuff! We saw turkey, deer, and elk come in .To all the 6a road hunters I say keep quiet and listen and watch and perseverance pays off .
