Ruger GP100 with 6” barrel, .357 magnum. I bought this new about 5 years ago. It has less than 100 rounds through it (really). Excellent gun that shoots and functions perfectly. I just prefer my Blackhawk for handgun hunting and I’m in the process of thinning the herd a bit. It comes with everything a new gun would have, the case, manual, the silly trigger padlock and the little pin needed when changing grips. This firearm is “as new” and never altered in any way. 575.00 or a reasonable offer. I also have a “like new” El Paso Saddlery No #2 Thumb break holster in black. It was 110.00 new and I’ll let it go for 50.00. Made specifically for this gun/barrel length. Gun belt not included. A perfect gift to yourself for Christmas! Don’t delay, operators are standing by. 602-571-0921 leave message or text.

Bobcat I took this weekend.Didn't call it. Spotted it in the open while out looking for a place to make a stand. Shot it at 187 yards. Would have preferred to call it in but couldn't pass up the opportunity. Spotted it from the location in the second picture. Second one I've taken this year. The first one was called in.

Why tough to compete, great works sells its self, and bad work doesn't. My electrical license is a joke, money grab by registra and doent really protect anyone, a bunch of bank rupt contractors telling you how to run your business, haha. Tell him to be a man of his word, complete every project and never forget who he is doing it for, the customer. He's gonna go far.

Finally drew my first antelope tag. Drew a archery hunt here close to home in New Mexico. I knew the unit well but knew this unit wasn't easy and it was going to be a grind. Opening morning found my son and I on the very north end of the unit. At first light we pick up what I think is a good 78-80" buck with 3 does. We put the stock on and get to about 130 yards. They peg us and move. We play cat and mouse for over two hours. We would make 40 yards they would move 40 yards. We finally get to the private border and we back out. On the way to some other country we spot small buck but give him the pass. We get to a new area and and glass a herd of does. I move to a small rise and glass a big buck cruising from our left to right. He is moving quick and we have about 800 yards to get to where we can be in range. We take off and get to the point where I think he should be soon. I'm glassing and frantically looking and he is gone. I put my binos down and 150 yards to my left he is staring us down. Luckily we were hunkered down pretty good. I had a heads up decoy attached to my bow. I threw it up and he immediately started to trot our way. He got closer and then something startled him as he came to a screeching halt. He was somewhat quartering towards us and with my son on the range finder he said "he's at 80 dad". I drew back and settled the pin just in front of his shoulder. Right as I was letting it fly the smallest gust of wind came and pulled that decoy a had attached to my bow. I watched the arrow fly like in slow motion to the left and high. The arrow sunk deep into his neck and into his chest cavity. The buck took of and I could see he was bleeding good which calmed me of my botched shot. After a short tracking job we found him piled up in some malpais rock. I knew he was a good buck but walking up I could see he was just a little better than good. I was sad that when the buck crashed that lava rock split open his lower jaw, split his gums and some of his nose. We got the buck taken care of and headed home. I called my good friend who is my taxidermist and is an official p&y scorer. We met up at his place to cape the buck out gave him a quick run with the tape. Last week we did the official scoring and he was better than.I thought. I am blessed to have these opportunities to hunt with my oldest son who's passion for hunting burns as hot as mine. This was a first for me and who better than to get to experience it with than my boy.

6225E988-482B-4B57-A677-E0AC7B523722-8198-0000086ED92A02B7.mov To say my hunt turned out to be great would be an understatement. It was one of the best experiences ever, from scouting to the time laying hands on my ram. Memorable to say the least especially with just my nephew, grand nephew and I getting I done. So quick a run down… ram was aged at 8, but with the gnarly bases G&F said he could be 9+ but couldn’t tell for sure. Ram scored 174. One circumference landed in the bad spot in his horn which kept him from scoring higher but that just adds great character to the ram. His good side measures 91”. Oh in the last pic with grand nephew, the road that goes through the saddle, that saddle is where I shot from Brian

Despite what the app magazines might say, there’s no “great units” when it comes to coues. Just different terrain, access and things to contend with. I would personally use those for a mule deer tag (archery kaibab) and go to MX and hunt em in the rut with a rifle with no other hunters. You’ll see less deer and less rut with more pressure in December then you saw in Jan during your archery trip. If you do decide to go, six eh would be as good a bet as any unit. Maybe look at twenty three as well. The further you can get from the valley in either one the better. Big muleys are expensive, MX coues are cheaper. I’d use the points to go have a crack at a big muley and then go to MX for coues if it was me.

I think 6 a is a good choice. I don't hunt coues there but I spend a lot of time glassing it and see some good bucks. I have a buddy that has killed 3 bucks over 100" in the past 7-8 years.

@Roboz Congratulations! I ended up hunting Solo for 4 hard days but had to cut my hunt short due to some other commitments that came up back home. Sat and Sun Morning were the coldest starts I've ever seen to a Coues Deer hunt in that unit. Day 1 I had a few mountain tops over from me shoot 8 times in under a minutes (5 times in 30 seconds) so I hope they got what they were shooting at... I saw 1 Doe on Day 3 and 1 Doe with 2 Fawns on Day 4 (both groups around 800 yards out). No bucks again sadly. Debating about putting in for a Southern unit for 2024. Thankfully, I try to never leave any of my hunts empty handed, and found this cool deadhead set.

Exactly. "Coming back to camp...." and backpacking food options are for sure, two different things. Food looks delicious though, @10Turkeys!

I just found tuna packets with rice and beans. There pretty good and don’t need to be heated so for just a few days I don’t need a stove

I will at some point. The bino harness is going to be from Santa though, so I can't take him til later. I will probably run over there this week. I recieved a Marsupial harness as a gift, but need the XL chest straps for myself since I am slightly larger than the normal human. 🤣

A little tired….yes. 😁 The adrenaline rush and then come down is real. Yeah, there definitely is a little panic , Even though ram is dead on his feet. Jubilation is an understatement. I’ve never been so excited with an animal and experience in all my life. So I had 30 points. I have not had the chance to eat any yet. I’ve never had sheep before so I’m excited to try it.
