Far from FDA approved I'm sure but just finished up last years pigs that included about 70lbs of summer sausage, 30lbs of chorizo and 15lbs of jerky. All came out pretty darn good.

My dad passed away in July and this was my first outing since his passing. He and I started hunting together in the late 1970s. Like most of us, our dad’s taught us the skills needed to be successful, the appreciation for everything we harvest and how to take care of the meat from field to table. In his memory I used his favorite rifle and I was able to hunt our favorite unit. Over the years, we have harvested many deer, bulls and cows from this unit. I am thankful to have had a successful hunt and relive over 40 years of memories.

My son used my .243 AI on his Coues this year. my rangefinder (Leica 1200 crf) read 480 yds. his rangefinder read 430 yds (Sig) his has a uphill/downhill correction. had he went off my 480 he would’ve shot over the bucks back.

On all angles either up or down - 200 yards is not 200 flat yards - it is a shorter distance / time that gravity has to pull the bullet down - in the situation mentioned by Titan gravity pulled the bullet down for 430 yards not 480 yards - the steeper the angle the less time it has to pull . so depending on how steep your angle was gravity may have only pulled on your bullet for 150 yards …, at 200 yards your 270 should shoot flat enough as bigorange said that basically from 100-300 it should hit shoulder and not have to adjust regardless of angle ….

No debate really for an 11 y.o. Muzzleoader with shooting sticks. Can be loaded to mild recoil. Yes, you can shoot 5 or 6 arrows, or handgun rounds while reloading a ML, but both take much more practice. It would be ideal to get her started on all 3, but if time is short, I would go with ML.

If you want a complete package I can make a deal with a Nightforce attack r and 360 rounds of 175 grain Burger otm Factory ammo

I got a muzzlelaoder recently. The recoil isn't too bad compared to a 243. Especially if you wanna do some lighter loads. Look at getting a cva wolf, black horn 209 powder, Home hornady SST, and some blackhorn 209 primers. And some cleaning kit supplies. That's about all you need

Hello all.....my name is Jason Von Allman; been a viewing member for a while. Don't contribute much to the forum, because haven't had much to contribute, but do enjoy reading all of the post of others success. Long story short, have been putting my son and daughter in for AZ youth hunts for last 5 years. Have drawn youth cow elk hunts 4 times and took an animal 3 of those times. They are hooked... Daughter was finally drawn for a youth deer hunt in 18B. Have scouted twice in last 2 months, but not finding much for animals since we don't know the area real well. Have came in off of Anvil Rock Road as well as Trout Creek Road.....haven't seen a buck yet. Question is....when hunt comes around, is this the areas we should focus on? If weather hits....are these roads passable with 4x4 pickup? Any insight would be greatly appreciated....DM's work Pic is of Samantha from hunt a couple years ago..
