I thought you paid 600 for the pair. at 1200 you got robbed!!! I hated my Chrony, putting something down range has its risks. My buddy shot the aluminum rods on my last outing with it. So I bought the Magnetospeed. Shooting suppressed, I had to fit the bayonet a couple times to get the correct placement or it would miss shots. I had to shoot it for velocity then zero it since I didnt have the other attaching kits. It also isnt good for archery. I had Cabelas points and figured, why not. Im glad I did. Shot it yesterday. Setup was simple. Connected it to my phone, start a new series, choose what speed range I was shooting, set it up near the front of my bench and start shooting. Didn't miss a shot. It transferred all the data to my phone. Set it and Forget it!!! Its like the Shamwow, Flex Seal and Showtime Rotisserie all rolled into one.

After his first deer hunt last year (unsuccessful) I put my grandson in for the youth hunt. He drew a cow tag in 4A. We scouted a couple of times and he was excited to see them up close. We got there on Wed before the hunt and drove some roads and saw elk. Thursday am I woke him up and there were elk 75 yds. from camp- he was shocked. That evening drove around and saw more elk. Friday- opening morning we left camp and were into elk but too far away for a shot. We tried following them but couldn't catch up with their quick walk. That evening hunt we didn't see anything. Saturday - AM hunt was uneventful but we did help another group with some tracking but trail was lost. PM hunt driving to where we were going to sit a herd ran across the road about 200 yds ahead of us and dropped into a steep draw area. I told him that's where we were going to sit for the evening as I figured they would come back up there to graze and hit water. After sitting there we heard some cow yelps and moved 250 yds towards the sound. after a few minutes I spotted a cow starting thru a small clearing. It went thru too quickly. The next one by was a spike. Another cow stepped into the clearing and stopped - he was steady and drawn as I waited for the shot- didn't happen. I think we had a slight case of buck fever- that was all we saw of that small group. A few minutes later we heard bugling and cows where we were initially and headed back over there. The herd was moving back across the road where they had first crossed and dropped into another draw. I told him we probably wouldn't catch up but he was insistent to follow. We ended up a ways from the road and they had stopped in another meadow area. We slow footed towards them and ended up about 100 yds from the herd. We waited for a cow to enter a clearing and the rest is history - except for the quartering and pack out. Congrats Mason Burns

I think GiveSendGo is an alternative to Gofundme and is more 2A friendly.

If meeting in the middle somewhere wasn't an option I was willing to pay and try UPS overnight. Even if I didn't get it Thursday I could have my son bring it out Saturday when he comes.... but.... good luck to you to.... I guess!?! I will just suck it up and give my money to Sportsman's in Show Low.

Whats up with all the chrono's going up for sell? Is everyone buying the garmin? I really have few issues with the old antique one I have. These new ones are like the cost of my left nut. What issues are you guys having?

We spent most of her high school years not talking much unless we were javelina hunting or turkey hunting. Even then, it was pins and needles at times and she was well into the social life. I knew I had to let her go if I was ever going to get her back. Friends of mine with similarly stubborn, independent, strong-willed daughters assured me she'd come back around eventually and I just had to be patient. I asked her every draw cycle if she wanted to hunt and then bought her bonus points when she said no. I also told her UofA is close to several great Coues units, that she has enough points to get a good Coues tag, and that I'd rearrange my schedule to make sure I was available . That peaked her interest. Now to figure out 34B for pigs for her!

I haven’t used the nls… but I used 12s alone for years. To me, you can’t beat the 15s and 8 or 10s combo for versatility. No 12s I’ve used can challenge 15s for finding coues, and these nothing better then having my 8x32s in a harness when stalking coues with a bow. 12s are just tough to steadily hold one handed when I’m looking for that buck I know is somewhere 30-40 yards in front of me in the brush etc. however, it’d be great to only have to carry one pair, and I had a lot of success with only 12s. The versatility just isn’t there, for me, as my hunting has evolved. Especially when stalking with a bow. Those nls are supposed to be dang nice though, and in most scenarios I’m sure they’d be pretty awesome.

Well today is the last day of our hunt here in Wyoming. Missed a whitetail doe a couple nights ago, and had the opportunity at a muley buck and whitetail buck on public, but we didn't have a buck tag. Spent much of the mid-day hours fishing and having fun. I always try and keep it fun with my son and not burn him out. Today after fishing, we were driving back into the ranch we stay at and saw one lone yearling doe on the property. We were able to sneak around the horse barn without her seeing us and made a 100 yard shot. 3 for 3 on antelope tags this year.

Killed a bunch of quail on opening weekend and ended-up trying something new. (As expected, an outstanding Gambels year based on last winter/spring precipitation. Limits. ) Anyway, my GF is Filipina and suggested some of them get cooked-up Adobo style. Ended-up as a pretty good dish. Nice alternative to my usual grilling. One thing that was a little strange was that she went to the Asian market and picked-up some quail eggs to hard-boil and add. Typical Filipino dish with NO greens! LOL No serving pics but was basically served over white rice, just like All Filipino dishes. Final product F

Butterfields on the NE corner of Scottsdale Rd. and Shea Blvd. Not literally the NE corner but more in the NE corner area. And only 15 mins from Mayo on 56th St or Mayo further east on Shea Blvd. There's also Perk Eatery at 64th St. and Greenway. Also very good and featured on Triple D a few years ago. Eddie

His instict to not shoot when he had the fever and to pursue when he felt it was right sounds like he has many successful hunts in his future, near and far. Great job, Phil and Mason!
