Great machine. I love mine. And that is a great price with all the added items. If I used mine more I think I would install the Fox shocks but it still rides great with the stock.

I will also plug Fenix, I have two older rechargeable ones that are pushing 5 years and a single charge still lasts a full weeks hunt. Mine have a lowlight red option but it looks like the similar new model uses a lens filter: https://fenix-store.com/collections/headlamp-series/products/fenix-hl40r-led-rechargeable-headlamp https://fenix-store.com/products/34mm-filter?refSrc=8205294928168&nosto=nosto-page-product2 Petzl makes good headlamps too, I have one still kicking that runs 3 AAA batteries that is at least 15 years old.

That milwaukee is trash after a while. That is our supplied headlamp for work. After a couple of recharges, the battery life goes to crap. I used to have to have 3 fully charged, to make it a night. I now use my coast headlamp at work, and it is much better. Whatever you do, get one that recharges and takes cr2 batteries.

I was hunting in the flag area. Hunted for 9 days. Overall the rut was slow. Always some bugling where we were at and I was all over the unit, but it was barely enough to give you a shot to give chase. I would not call it a rut crazed buglefest. Bugles seemed to end right after first light or maybe 45 mins later As to water, seemed like bulls were coming in after dark more and more as the hunt went on which is to be expected as the moon went from dark/new to more bright On aggregate bulls were call shy. Herd bulls were running away from calls protecting their cows. Satellite bulls were callable here and there but it was inconsistent. my theory on all this is the conditions we’re very very good with respect to water and feed. So much so I think the elk were very spread out and with this there was less competition for the cows. I never saw a bull with a huge harem. Maybe one bull had 10-12 cows. Most had 3-5 it seemed like. hopefully the rut kicks in harder this week for the guys still getting after it. as to us, we had chances each day and passed a bunch of bulls. Wednesday and Thursday sucked though due to high winds. Seemed to shut it all down and things got back to normal after that small front passed through. I wasn’t going to take a small bull and was perfectly fine with my 5 star tag soup dish. Mmmm….good.

The mold I recall is $120, I do a lot of casting for black powder, or can get the .68cal balls online for about $1 ea. Till I decide which route to take, I'll keep working with grapeshot. Need to video more toys vs cannons. Was thinking woke toys would be a 'blast.' Ya know, Woody, Buzz, Bert and Earnie. Any requests?

Went out and splatter tested blank ammo for the gunfighter reenactment group. Good reason to bring the Cannon along. Cannon vs Dragon 43079.mp4

I wouldn't let Sportsman's, Cabelas, or Bass Pro even put a scope in a plastic bag for me. I can't tell you how many times I have seen their "mounting and bore sighted" crooked and either loose or way overtightened scopes that buddies get done there. As for buying your own tools, to do it right, it is going to cost you more than having someone competent do it once for you. If you plan to do it more than once or twice, then it starts to work out in costs. What part of the Valley are you in?
