Pronghorn sirloin, rare. Added a baked potato with copious amounts of butter and sour cream to my usual side of grilled broccolini. (Sort of in a rut with the broccolini….)

Looking to get rid of my old BBQ. It's seen better days 😪 .I've had it just as long as the wife of 24 years and it's time to retire it. Was looking at the trager for a replacement for the grill and the smoker and free up patio space . Anything I should know before buying . The good or the bad .

SPF Round count unknown. For pickup at my home in Chandler, Ray and AZ Ave. Chambered in 280 rem. 22" barrel, includes Redfield rings and bases. Metal and blue is in very good condition. Stock has some wear from hunting. Not perfect but not bad either. Bolt is smooth and trigger breaks nice at ~2.5-3lbs according to my index gauge. First I'll take it and a PM owns it.

I’m not 100% sure but i’ve heard you can cut the antlers off the skull and bring them back as "sheds". Glue them to a cheap bottle of tequila and i bet you wouldn’t get hassled at all.

Get a pellet tube off amazon too. You can use them to cold smoke and add extra smoke if you want a heavier smoke profile.

I watched a guy whack a 5x5 with a 6mm 95 gr sst at a little over 300. The bull took maybe 5 steps coughing and snorting and laid over. Not my choice but the guy is 66 years old and this rifle has been his go to for like 45 years! He shoots it well! I think if the boy shoots the 243 well and feels comfortable with it, go for it. Especially only a month before the hunt why throw a different caliber, trigger etc. at him

Easy decision imo. Shoot the rifle, with the most knock down power, he can ACCURATELY shoot. Try out the 06, if he can't handle it, go lighter.

Not really my place to share pics, but I helped my buddy and his son in 5BN the past couple days. His son killed a nice 6x6 on water Sat evening and we got into some good bugling action Mon and Tue mornings. Rut seems to be picking up but “not quite there” yet in the areas we were hunting.
