Last week while raking behind the old 1899 hotel on US60, I found these early Vietnam Era dog tags. Thanks to the internet, minutes later, found this. Next, to find a living relative of this man and return them. RIP SP4 H. Jarvis, thank you for your service.

One of the first places I went when I became serious about landscape photography back in 2009 was atop the Paria Plateau in northern Arizona. After not visiting this location for several years, I ventured back there earlier this month to find that it is still a visual treat. Once the summer rains come and fill the reflection pools, a return trip will be in the offing. My first trip was with a 12MP Nikon D90 and 18-105 kit lens. The recent trip was with a new Fuji GFX 100s 102MP medium format camera. Many of my favorite images were taken with that D90 in the earlier years, and hence I would like to return to some locations to reshoot with the GFX.

Well my turn finally came and I drew a bonus pass tag on the second hunt for a Gould's tag. I was dieing to get in the woods after all the Gould's photos were posted last week. Finally got to the woods yesterday afternoon set up camp and had a few hours to do some scouting. First thing this morning I had another hunter move in on the birds I was calling in off the roost and it was game over for both of us. The scouting from the day before really paid off and we hurried to our plan B spot. We were able to locate and call in this strutting tom and his 7 hens. It was a short hunt and we were done by 6:45 this morning. I look forward to putting in for Merriam's again and getting to hunt for myself more often.

Still clouding up daily, seeing rain everyday not necessarily where I am. Curious though. They always talk el nino, any science behind it or just a way of saying "hey we are wrong a lot"?

Best bass bite(s) I ever experienced was at San Carlos reservoir in the 70's. Hope the lake can stay full and return to its former glory.

Nice, I've not gotten a flatty that big yet. What did it weigh?

Fishing wasn’t great but caught one pretty good flathead and a 12lb channel cat. It’s running pretty fast and wide so it’s tough to keep your bait where it needs to be.

Drew my second Gould’s tag this year with 24 points. Donated my first one back in 2011 to OE4A. Went into the hunt with high expectations and they were definitely met. Thanks to cramerhunts and my buddy Brandon for all the insight. Also. Big thanks to Ryan and Jesse for coming down on the hunt. Bird had a 10.25” beard and no spurs.

Do those still have a warranty? How old is the battery? What size lug nuts do the wheels have. What is the bolt pattern on the transmission? How much rubber is left on the right front tire on the 4x4 unit?

"I'd really like to go this year" doesn't mean "I'm going this year. I wasn't asking". If I were someone that knew anything about wyoming antelope advice you'd be the last person I offered to help. Don't come asking for advice and when people give it to you you don't like it. Figure it out yourself. PS- I hope the "lowest density" wyoming unit you draw doesn't have any antelope left to kill when you get there because "you weren't asking". Pss- 21 points in az is as good as having 2 points and there's a chance you never draw a rifle az antelope tag in your life.
