Looking for the record book for the top 20 non-typical rifle coues in Arizona. I was lucky back in 1991 when I harvested this 114 7/8" (5x7)

I'm no pro but I live for crappie every spring. My opinion is yes, absolutely but the turbid water will warm quickly (if we could get some steady warm weather) and there will be a lot of fish ready to go off.

I was lucky to take a 114 7/8" (5x7) Coues Whitetail in Arizona in 1991. It was at one time ranked at the 13th largest. I'd like to see the record book for rifle non-typical coues whitetail. Sorry about the picture. I don't know how to straighten it.

I read So Cals largest reservoir is full for the first time in years. I hope this water abundance, aids farmers whom had their irrigation spigots turned off. Especially hoping we can see some relief in hay prices and availability. But I won't get too hopeful, this Washington administration has proven its the enemy of consumers and farmers alike.

Probably because the guy running it is part of the tribal outfit that puts on HE in AZ. I'm guessing he's setting up classes up there for tribal kids, but all classes right now have to be opened for everyone statewide. He's a great guy. I don't know why none of the other instructor teams aren't setting up classes, but the 13+ feet of snow in Flagstaff has kept us from doing anything. That'll change once we get access to the NorAZ Shooting Range.

Can someone please tell me why the only available ARIZONA hunters field day for YOUTH is in Gallup, New Mexico?

1000% correct. You get the certificate of completion of the online course. That still needs to be carried at all times during a hunt as part of the current, still ongoing waiver process for online field days. We're currently working on getting field days for online students up and running this spring/summer in Flagstaff. Keep your eyes on the AGFD HE webpage every Tuesday for classes. The instructor who typically sets up the online field days just sent an email today about a class in May, but we don't know if there will be enough instructors or not. I'm in NM that weekend turkey hunting. Once I know the exact date/time, I'll post it up in the forums so folks can keep an eye open.

they should definitely allow CCW permit-holding teachers to carry at school. Absolutely no reason why a card-carrying person cant or shouldn't be able to defend their classes from these nutjobs instead of waiting for the police to do it for them.

Remember, Roosevelt can actually store up to 2.9 million acre feet in the flood control stage, but that water has to be released within 20 days I believe. They have plenty of space still.

Published: 9:28 PM MST March 27, 2023 Updated: 4:33 AM MST March 28, 2023 HOUSTON — A man in a wheelchair shot another man who tried to rob him in downtown Houston on Monday, according to investigators. Houston police officials said it happened just before 9 p.m. at the METRO station at Pierce and Main streets. Authorities said the victim was in a wheelchair when a man approached him and tried to steal a bag. The victim pulled out a gun and fired several shots. The suspect was hit but managed to run "several hundred yards," according to police. Then, he collapsed. First responders took the man to an area hospital, where he was treated for the gunshot wounds and was stable, according to police. Investigators said the man in the wheelchair was a veteran who was waiting to catch a ride to go home.

You get a certificate saying you finished the online portion but you still need to do the field day to get the point and final certificate. I know for a while they allowed kids to hunt with just the online portion done but not sure if that's the case now.

The officers did a great job here. Most wackos that show up to do these things don't dress like an average teacher. So spotting them is usually easy. Resource officers usually wear a bright vest or something so they are easy to identify. The staff in this school did a great job locking down, accounting for students and having a staffer waiting for help to give a situational report to arriving officers and a quick lay out of the building. Not everyone can or should be a hero with a gun. The training teachers are getting is great. But like said above, a veteran or 2 at every school would make a huge difference.

You haven’t thought of it like that because what he said is illogical. We already know they don’t show up in a blink of an eye and we already know they don’t always show up and immediately stop the threat. Those 2 things are well documented.

If you are trained and equipped properly( radios etc), you are going to know that when help arrives that you are now no longer part of the response and will essentially surrender or "lay down" for responders as they arrive. Also the LEO will or should know what staff are armed as they should be coordinating training with them year around. Teachers and other adult school staff aren't just getting indiscriminately being shot now as these shootings occur by first responders so it wouldn't be any different if handled correctly. It's just has to be done right and it can be if the powers that be allow it too.

I can almost guarantee the officer wearing the body worn camera in the video was prior military Army/USMC with infantry training and maybe combat experience

Look at the cowards in Texas and imagine a bunch of purple hair teachers doing anything different. The cops from Uvalde should have done the honorable thing and swung themselves by a rope and it’s a shame the state of Texas let’s them walk as free men.

Had active shooter training a couple months back. It was literally what these guys did to a T. They were fast, efficient, safe and communicated wonderfully. If you notice, the officer with the rifle even put his rifle on safety as the thing was down. Amazing work.

Good stuff right there. And while we recognize the actions of these fine folks with the MNPD, let's not forget to call out the cowards at Uvalde PD. Eddie

Just wondering now for those who have them, what would happen if the cartel took your suppressor? You have to go back and tell the ATF?

why even consider bringing it if it’s a concern of yours. No brainer, don’t bring it. No problem.
