I’ve shot more coues with .300 RUM than anything else. The most wasted meat I’ve ever had was from a 6.5 creedmoor. Hit in the shoulder and made a huge mess. 300 behind the shoulder very little loss.

Snow in Utah is WAY off the charts this year. Crazy!! (Been skiing twice, and gonna take another week up there in late April. ⛷️😉) The snow at Alta won’t get to the Colorado. It will run off to the west, along with all the other snow on the west side of the Wasatch range. That’s a good thing though, because the Great Salt Lake is hurting for it. That being said, all of the snow that fell just east of Alta on the east side of the range and beyond will absolutely get into the Colorado basin! Good stuff for Powell & Mead! 👍🏻

Lower Lake Mary yesterday....

My wife and I newly married moved to Flagstaff in 83, I was working for Anderson cabinet shop full time while attending NAU! A local that was working with me there asked me why I always had a boat hooked up and where I was going! I told him we were fishing Lake Mary every day after work! He looked at me and politely stated,”There are no dam fish in Lake Mary!” Pike and Walleye!!! 😂😂😂

Gohunt’s data on coues deer is more or less useless. I’d burn them on an early kaibab muley tag and spend the money you’re gonna use in AZ on a Mexico trip. 1: you will be hunting private land without a million other yahoos out chasing them with a bow while you’re trying to hunt 2: there won’t have just been 3 rifle hunts in the area you’re hunting leading up to your hunt 3: you get to hunt during the rut (the December coues hunt is more like a pre rut hunt, a lot like a mid October mule deer hunt) 4: you won’t have to be away from family for Christmas (if you want any chance at a little pre rut actuon it’ll be Xmas to new year)

I'm pretty stingy with my money but I will and do support the things I believe in. Wildlife and conservation are very important to me so I will support things such as this.

To me, it doesn't feel like a money grab simply because it's voluntary. Give some dough to take a chance or not..... Good that there is accountability and proof of the direct positive impact that the money has on wildlife projects. No big deal, IMO.

So much financial advice in here. Don't get a side job @ 33 years old to get some extra $$$. Bunch of commies if you ask me. Who gives AF if this guy wants to earn a little extra money and drive for Uber. Buddy of mine makes over 200k at his 6-2 job and still does Uber and lift on the side in his 7 series. His stories are nothing short of epic. Why in the world are we clowning this guy for getting a side hustle again?

Back to back early archery tags. Last year unit 27, this year unit 9. My hunting group hates me. Lol Killed my first bull last year scored just shy of 340. Going for bigger this year.
