As all others before me, I have been waiting for this day since his mother told me she was pregnant. This past weekend Levi (whos 9) and I made a trip to West Texas and had an absolute blast. This kid was dying to get on the board. It took until the second day, but he got 2 does and a small buck. Three whitetail, three shots with his 7/08. The last one made me extremely proud. About 175 yards, 1/4ing away and he absolutely hammered her. The shot couldnt have been placed any better. He also caught 20+ bass 100% on his own, and I caught my personal best. It was an amazing weekend!

Tom Robinson died recently. If you had anything to do with archery in Tucson or Southern AZ you probably crossed paths with Tom at some point.

when photo radar fist came out to mesa, i used the mailings they sent me as my christmas cards to my family. My parents think its funny, as they got one heading out of town back home. They do come in handy for warming the house.

Elk draw deadline was Feb. 8th last year. CC hits on March 2nd. 3 weeks and 1 day after draw deadline. Deer draw went smoother. Deadline was June 14th and they hit CC's on the 28th. They will put out an announcement soon with the "Update CC deadline" date and they will hit CC's the next morning. At least that is the way it has been going. Since they haven't announced that yet, my bet would be that they hit CC's on March 7th. Just a guess though.

Sounds like this thread should be about scope fail horror stories... I bet there are some good ones out there. When I was a teenager, I had an old Weaver K4 scope fog up on me during my second ever deer hunt. I ended up carrying an old 30-06 beater that had been my Grandpa's for the rest of the hunt. I still have that rifle and the scope has wicked canted crosshairs... but I can't bring myself to straighten the scope since my grandpa did it that way. I smile every time I look at that rifle. An old Remington 721
