Dealing with AZGFD. Need some humor to help me calm down. I came up with this: Do you know why AZ hunters are so focused on hunting? After dealing with AZ Game & Fish one feels the need to kill something! 😁

AZBOW, my apologies I think I got scammed for the $115 for the death grip. I have been texting with a number 747-224-1904. His PayPal was quintariusgibbs@yahoo.com i sent the $$ on Feb 3rd. He said he would send tracking and I never received and that scammer is no longer responding

Are you on Facebook at all? I know an instructor on there. I could put you in touch if that helps?

Thanks for sharing that…I was just about to ask how many folks had actually volunteered to be instructors. That sums that up…no matter how many volunteer it’s broken.

Congratulations to the hunter, that is a great bull! However, Official Measurers happily volunteer their time and do not get paid anything to do so. Some of them may donate many hundreds of hours per year doing so, taking that time away from their family and their own hunting, in order to help the hunters and various record programs. While they enjoy meeting with hunters and helping them to get their trophies recognized by these records programs, please do not expect them to spend even more of their own valuable personal time measuring things that people don't intend to enter. If you or he wishes to measurer it yourself using the rules of Boone & Crockett, just to see the approximate score, you can download the forms from their website.

What gets me is that I have reached out to AZGFD multiple, multiple times trying to see what I need to do to become a volunteer field day instructor because so many people need it. I've called and every time I'm transferred to a phone that just rings until it goes to voicemail. I've also left voicemails with no response. I emailed them and finally got an automated response that says, "Due to changes in Department Volunteer administration we are not currently conducting new volunteer trainings. However, if this is something you are interested in, please reply back with your name, address, and phone number." Seems like they'd jump to get new volunteers in the system, especially for field days. You pay for the online course, then you can't get scheduled for the field day. Then your online course "expires" after a year if you haven't done the field day, making you have to pay again to take the online course again... Makes no sense to me.

Went outside, got a handful of wet snow, and yelled at Taylor "snowball fight!" And beaned her!

My son is in the middle of his first year of big game hunting. We were going to try to get him onto some pigs and have him take the first shot. Friday morning, the first spot didnt produce anything but deer and cattle. We changed locations and caught some pigs moving into a cut out of the wind. We made a big circle and found the pigs bedded down for the afternoon. We snuck into 45 yards and started our waiting game. No shots due to the pig pile. Shortly after 3 pigs came to our left, we had no clue they were there and got busted. All the pigs scattered, my son located a lone pig and took him down. Turns out it was a pretty tiny one 😂. All jokes aside, he was proud of his first muzzleloader harvest. Saturday we spent the day chasing pigs but kept getting busted or they would disappear as we got closer. The winds kept the pigs down low and out of sight. Sunday morning at 9, a herd was located far out in rough country. My pops is unable to do those kind of hikes these days so my son and I took off. We were able to get to 124 yards and take this older boar down and had a brutal pack out. We'll head out next week to hopefully locate pigs in a spot that my pops can hike in.

Based on What Curtis said if they don't have a brace just a buffer tube and no foregrip it would still be a pistol unless I misunderstood

Actually, the ATF has ruled that all braced pistols are now SBRs and, consequently, they would not be eligible for the HAM hunt.

He did well!!! grass was high this year so finding pigs was a task and stalking wasn’t easy but we were able to get my son in to 27 yards and he got his first bow harvest I hope he is hooked for life with stick and string!!!

Congrats! Nonstinky, though??? Alergy issues? Nose so full of stink from other pig? COVID? Somehow, I am skeptical on that part.
