Not much to write, other than I sat on my glassing nob this morning, wondering why I even came hunting with this nasty winter storm on top of me. Windy, cold, and rainy. About 20 min into glassing I heard rocks crashing underneath me and this buck was running around the nob looking for a doe 100 yards beneath me. I went down the hill and to my surprise the buck was still there coming out of the cut he had no idea I was even there and gave me a 40 yard shot.I made a great shot and he expired within 40 yards. Being in the right place at the right time was the truth this morning and luck was on my side. I have never had a buck run up on me like that when I am glassing but I guess anything is possible during the rut!

I killed this buck with my 4 year old son by my side during the opening morning of the general rifle hunt. We were late getting out of the cabin by about an hour but it all worked out. As we were working our way to our glassing spot we found this guy hanging out near the road. Having my son with me during this hunt was by far my best experience in the field.

The Boys had a great day out Sunday. Only day we had with high school wrestling in full swing. First archery kill for one and second for another. First time I have every seen three taking on first stock, same herd and no blood trailing. All dropped insight. Middle pig is a hoss.

Hey Everyone My 83 year old mother was taken Monday morning to the hospital.. She has pneumonia in both lungs. And had a stroke yesterday afternoon.. she can knowlonger swallow or eat . She has lived with me the last 14 months and I've been talking care of her . Watching her slowly slip away and watching her dying has been torture to Me. but the time we have shared together has been very satisfying.. it has definitely been a rollercoaster or emotions.. but a experience I wouldn't trade for anything.. My mother is the most loving and giving person you would ever know.. So hers a big shout out to Mom /aka Joan Cornwell.. I love you Mom and praying fora speedy recovery and hope you will be home soon 😥. Please everyone if you have time and a extra prayer or two My mother and my family could all use one right now.. Thank you all Bill

Sig 365 or 365XL , my personal favorite, and I have all of the ones mentioned, except I sold the 26 to get into the small thin guns.

They are pretty special, even when they become adults.

I felt the same exact way, when you ask a question and they make you feel dumb for asking or give you a 2 word answer

Nothing more rewarding that being successful with your offspring right next to you. Great deer as well.

The Outdoorsman must all be liberal democrats because they are just like them….scamming America. I bought a SLIK cf 634 carbon fiber tripod a year ago for like $185 and it is a great light weight tripod. I wonder what I’m missing out on with the $1200 I saved.

I have two 1lbrs that I would trade to get you started.

I hope I see someone with one of these , then have a set of junk vortex Binos on top of it because they spent too much on their tripod setup lol😂

Slippery slope argument is so tiresome... Cellular trail cams, arrows with trackers in them, bows that are shot with air @over 450' a second, Mler's using smokeless powder, drones, night vision, thermal vision, the list goes on. So much new tech that was either regulated or needs to be. Crazy that some guys can not see a need for some type of regulation as Technology continues advancing forward.

I’m on the opposite side of your thinking. When will they stop with the entitlement. Everyone has a crossbow permit now, you can use airbow rifle things even on those hunts now. guys use ar15 on handgun hunts. And yes muzzleloader are shooting farther and more accurately than guys were with their 30-06 in 1995 were. We already slipped off that slope. Im sure he was trolling but I saw a guy talking g about wanting champ tags during the deer rut lmao. Time to reign it in

We all can agree to disagree, but allowing scoped guns for ML season I believe departs from the intent of what the ML season is all about. Some of the modern ML guns do as well, in my opinion. That said, as long as hunters are abiding to the rules and regulations of the hunt, I am fine with that.

Weird place to post this but yeah you're screwed. No mercy from the commission so most likely gonna pay a good fine and will lose your license for 5 years. Don't waste your time going to the commission meeting because it's gonna be a 5 year revocation. Learn from your biggest mistake: DONT VOLUNTARILY TALK TO POLICE. Why in the world you would volunteer that info to the one guy who's sole purpose is to screw you?
