Not a huge coues guy and haven’t been on the forum really in years but I used to love scrolling through everyone’s success back in the day so I figured I’d share mine. Got in tight to this buck thanks to a good buddy and made good on the opportunity.
Nothing like looking for deer and spotting a lion. Ran home grabbed the dogs and had her up a tree In less than an hour. Dogs worked well considering the circumstances of patchy snow.

I saw a post made on HuntAz’s Instagram page. I am not trying to steal anyone’s thunder and I apologize if the hunter did not want any publicity but I think this is just bad butt that he shot this in a super tough unit and did not allow his disabilities prevent him from getting it done.
Congratulations to him.
If anybody knows somebody looking for a roll cage for an early bronco or if anybody in here has one , I have one at a great price 600$, and it’s powder coated no spray painted , only reason I’m selling is I bought an original steel half cab
So after chasing mule deer in Dec/Jan archery my wife decided she wanted to try her luck on a desert mule deer during the general hunt. We’ve chased these deer only during archery and had decided to keep tabs through the years. We finally felt we had a solid plan so off we went. We got to her u it the afternoon before and set up camp then went out to glass. On our way to our glassing spot we came across a groups of 4 bucks hanging out in the area we were goi g to focus on.
We got up early Opening morning and my wife and son got ready and headed to the area we had chosen to be at sunrise. I went to the glassing spot. At about 0611 I glasses up a group of 5 bucks, one of which was a definite shooter. Once they had formulated and approach everything just worked out perfect. I was bummed I couldn’t be with her when she shot but having just had hernia surgery a week earlier I was relegated to glass duty. 312 yard offhand shot with her 300WSM and the rest is history. Super proud of her!
Just picked up the rifle from Axis Works OMG Amazing !!! Big Big thanks to Axis Works for the donation of the muzzlebreak and the time to re- cut the threads and fix the crown .This will ensure that even the youngest of the kids will have absolutely no problem with recoil.
THANKS AGAIN AXIS WORKS!!!
Thanks to the staff at Axis Works they are donating a muzzle break and the time and labor to install. If you need anything that requires a great gunsmith and outstanding customer care they cannot be beat.
THANKS AGAIN AXIS WORKS!!!
I have an old MK85 Knight and a newer ultra-lite mountain rifle that Knight makes and both are great guns. The bolt is really short on the ultra-lite and doesn't seem any longer than the MK85 action. It is basically just a fancier looking mechanism that gives the option to swap out different bolts and breech plugs to make it legal in various states with different regs. Mine has been flawless on firing reliability and they are great to point and shoot, but I like that they feel a lot like a standard bolt action rifle that I am accustomed to.
