So, not having any big game hunts this year in AZ, I'm resorting to trophy small game hunting. Joining my buddy and his daughter on their annual daddy/daughter squirrel opener. I think they've done this for every year since she was old enough to shoot a rifle till now and she's about 21. Wondering how the numbers were for those of you who got to hit the elk woods this year? I had one climb up my pant leg one year after spine shooting it and it was trying to crawl off with the front legs..... I stepped on its tail to hold it still to shoot it in the head. Bad idea..... Thing spun around and grabbed onto my jeans like it was tree. I yelled, ( screamed?) jumped back which freed the tail and up it came. FAST! I was jumping around on one leg, shaking the other, and hitting at it with the butt of my 22. Finally shook it free and emptied my 10/22 into the devil beast. My buddy was doubled over laughing with tears in his eyes. Traumatic for sure..

Should be plenty of good bulls on the late hunt. We had a great few weeks, will get some pictures posted soon. Was just wondering how the rest of the unit was.

Ill be in 6a .Second time turkey hunting .Last time was the spring hunt last year and called in a bear .Hope it goes better this time.Good luck to everyone.

Hey guys, got this guy last Sunday on day 10 of a tough hunt. The rut was sporadic at best with some days having almost no bugles during daylight hours. I've been getting caught up at work so haven't done a full write-up, this guy came in screaming with about 10 cows at 7:15 am when it had been quiet all morning. I had to wait at full draw for what seemed like ever for his cows to clear out from between us, but managed to make a heart shot. He only went about 30-40 yards before tipping over. I'm super exited. He's my biggest bull to date, and broke my drought. It's been a few years since I've put anything bigger than an turkey or javi on the ground.

But a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then...

Okay, everyone’s laughing at my learning moment..,,, Any one go out on the archery hunts? It’s pretty obvious when it’s a good squirrel year, they pestered the heck out of me when I had tag on the good years . Teased me to use a blunt when elk were near by, or chattered like crazy when I was stalking close. Never saw them headed out to the truck….

If you can't tell a wolf from a huskey you probably don't need to be hunting.The dog looks to be between 6 and 8 months old .The article says that the dogs had parvo and were sick.Poor dog didn't deserve that.Huskys are not a aggressive there strong as heck.My husky pup at 6 months could pull me for miles on a skateboard.Hope she gets what she has coming.

We call this one Cyclops. Last year he was a 5x1 this year he's a 6x1 very healthy and much bigger. I think he get's the ladies and probably won't get shot, kinda lucky I guess. Pic was from yesterday afternoon.

Lol I saw that… crazy it’s even the same sizes! We started packing today which included trying on camo from last year. Kid grew 4 inches and two full shoe sizes 🤦‍♂️
