Lots of options since it's 5000sq' on nearly 5 commercial acres.. Kitchen and bathrooms are soon to be remodeled, the building sealed. One of the saving grace's is it was built using ol growth redwood, her bones are sound. Maybe some Airbnb, horse camp, tourist lodging to compliment the owners patented mines about 8 miles north. Open to suggestions. Worst part of the venture to date is the local hick click. All the neighbors are acting grateful the hotel is being saved and revitalizede. I've known some of these folks for decades. But at the same time they act like it's public land and they can meddle. Don't get me started on the utility companys, county and DOT. Thank goodness the new owner has the $ to keep a slew of lawyers, professionals, etc and can afford to keep a rather jolly disposition throughout.

Hi everyone, Sorry for the delayed response, life has been crazy since having our first child. I did not notch my tag but passed on some decent bucks and saw a ton of deer and some really nice bucks. I appreciate all the help from people on here and even got to hunt a day with another coueswhitetail member (Thanks for all the help Cole!). I will definitely try and be more active on the site but I am a little bummed that this will be my first fall not chasing coues deer since I started hunting them. Cheers

Been in the area I hunt in Aug the last 2 weekends, water everywhere. Should keep the deer spread out and not sitting ducks coming into the water holes. Hopefully keeps units open longer.

They’re buying those trucks with 15 year loans and are in debit up to their eyeballs!

If you only have 5 days to hunt and they are going to be consecutive days, my advice is hunt the last 5 days. Hunted it many times and the crowds clear out by the 2nd Sunday of the hunt. It will be a zoo opening weekend. If you are going to split them up, hunt the first two days and the last 3 days.

Made it out a couple days ago after work. I like to start my shed season checking fence lines, I usually scoop up a few a year that way. Lucked into a good one to start, 76.5” four point. Lots of miles in my future looking for the match.
