I don't see why so many people are angry about this. It's only a couple tags and generates them a boat load of money. Plus a few extra people get to go hunting. If u don't like it, don't apply. It's not affecting your odds of drawing a regular tag
A recent phototrip with a couple of friends from Colorado had us in remote areas in northern Arizona. The first evening had us overlooking a beautiful section of the Painted Desert with its colored Chinle formation. The next evening was spent in a pinnacle-filled filled valley surrounded by walls of Moenave sandstone. The colors and striations of the sandstone are beautiful.
A gallery of the images from the trip may be viewed on my website. https://www.plateaulightphotography.com/New-Work/Navajo-High-Desert/
There were a pair of feral llamas that the Navajos had used to protect their sheep from coyotes.
Wonderful colors and markings in the sandstone.
I knew they would be out but I was just curious if there would be less. It sucks for us desert rats because it seems like most of the camera issues/problems are way north of us and have little to no impact on what goes on down here. I had a camera on 3 waterholes last year from August-October and I never saw another camera on any of them. Sucks to not watch all the animals coming in to drink this year.
if cost is not an issue then go with the best.... Spuhr Mount is awesome and scope can be moved from one gun to another with repeatability... by far the best mount available in my opinion.
they also make a nice level to be added to the mount if you do not like the level that is integral in the base.
But you still have to apply for the special hunts. "Apply" and "Application" verbiage is used extensively on the photo in the first post.
Like the Lotto says, "You can't win if you don't play".
Fantastic, does better with that than spherical. Spherical sometimes likes to bounce out of the pan so you will have one or two bounce on the table that you have to vacuum. I’ve even ran blue dot through it and it did fine.
Yet, there are multiple people in this thread alone that quit using them including myself. As stated many times before, the vast majority of decent hunters will stop using them as intended, there will ALWAYS be guys that will choose to continue on.
You aint a kidding. I used cameras as an excuse to go in the woods every couple of weeks. I haven't been once this summer. Partly because all I have going on, but partly because I don't have any cameras up. Its not worth it to me to have AZGFD looking at me, so I elected to not use them at all.
