4 pointsUp at 3 am to meet my guide again.First pig spotted on the move up a draw at 300 yds .I'm up on the sticks and dialed for the yardage and gun goes click.I forgot to put a round in the pipe.No luck for a recover he was gone.Lots more driving and looking.I never would have thought coming to California and seeing bull elk .But we came across 3 bulls full rack and Awsome.Ill post some pics when I get home and upload from the camera.A few hours and several miles later we ended up on one of the guides buddy's ranch. As we go thru the gate I see a cow elk in the field and quickly take a picture. My guide Tom says there's a good pig in the field. So I get my gun this time I put a round in it and we are on the move .At 200 yds I'm on the sticks and dialed for the hold.Tom says let's get closer .So we move and now I'm inside a hundred and zeroed back out .I got the go ahead to shoot when the pig turned and let it fly .Right thru the pig .It started to run and Tom says great shot I can see blood .The pig ran about 40 yds and piled up .Ill put up the other pics of the elk and turkey and kill shot when I get back home.

2 pointsYesterday was the start of my California pig hunt and we were in pigs at first light. The first pig spotted was a banded white and black that came up from the crop fields .She was small and had a piglet and a smaller pig in tow .Won't shoot the sow with the piglet. So into the hills we went and we did find pigs .We found a good group and it was on .I couldn't get a shot on the lead boar and the guide said to shoot the third one back .Just before I was going to let it rip he waived me off and said we could do better. No pigs spotted in the afternoon hunt just some California blacktail deer .

2 pointsNow that the Antlers is back open in Young, the wife and I are going to take a road trip Saturday. We are going to head up thru Payson and drop down the Young Rd from the 260 and stop at the Antlers for a burger (all this talk of burgers has got me craving a good one). We'll take the Globe route home to complete the trip. I love that drive. Now we just have to decide which kid to sell so we can afford the gas. Thanks Brandon

1 pointWe finally got a little rain in 36a today. Enough to have several puddles around. We could use a lot more.

1 pointSo the parents main job is to be lazy yard pets that my kids got as puppies and raise mostly on their own with some guidance. Now that they are almost two they have calmed down and have out grown the puppy bs.... they even mind pretty good now and kennel when told and sit. They still have plenty of energy for their long weekend walks. They are very protective and keep an eye out for coyotes for the other farm animals and alert me of trespassers around the property, weather on foot or vehicle. They do not bark unless they are being protective as just mention above. The female does bark to go to the bathroom if indoors or kenneled. Hope this helps. Thanks everyone for the kind words and interests.

1 pointOnce they removed the ability for parents to punish their kids, shiit hit the fan with the shootem ups happening. Put control and power back into the parents hands (literally), then things will be fixed. Thill then the pussification of youth occurs and they control the narrative.

1 pointI have to start off with a big thank you to zaccarp and qcchevy for sending me some locations and Little Creek Calls for getting my calls done very fast and actually bringing them to my house. Sunday i got off work and headed down to hunt some Goulds. Best i could do with short notice tag. Monday morning comes and first stop i get into a bird and he is coming right for me then gets to 100 yards and i watch him walk around me. Stop one is done. Try different location and i get hammered and watch a hen walk him right around me and i cant make it happen again. Now i am starting to question myself. I know i can hunt turkey but i must be making some mistakes or just not finding the right bird. Drive around and see some birds and get a few responses but thats it. Now i am worried. Everyone talks about it being an easy hunt and it was seeming to be the normal grind of turkey hunting going on for me. I wake up Tuesday and get into a bird again and work him for a bit and then coyotes start barking and howling and fired the bird up but also pushed him out as i hear him gobbling and going away. I decided to go try a different area and find nothing. Drive to a differnt location and throw out some calls and boom two birds hit me. Its on. I work them for an hour it seems and cant break one off the knob they are on and dont know why. Didnt seem like they had hens. Decide i am going to try and get closer and blow out two deer and the turkey shut up. I think its done and move out to try a different spot. Not and the next spot so i head back to wear i the birds were that i thought the deer spooked out to pick hp a nice pile of fire wood a saw and i hear them again. Decided to try and work around them and come from different side. I get to a spot i can actually glass back and see all the glass up two strutters and a bunch of hens. I work into them while my buddy took some good pics thru the glass. Got to within 63 yards of two toms. When i get there i didnt have to do anything. i ended being surrounded by hens and two other toms. The hens started walking towards me and i take a shot at one of the toms and miss and he flys up and over a tree and i was about to shoot again but the two other toms run right in front of me and i shoot and i drop one. I could hear my buddy and son Cheering for me as they watch the whole thing thru phone scope and binos. Was an awesome experience. Cant wait to do it again. Thank everyone again who helped out it was a great experience.

1 point1) The guys that hunt them all the time wont take you to their areas so you need to have your own picked out so they can take to your spots. 2) Repeat #1 3)Do you have gloves and a face mask? You can hunt in jeans and a camo shirt but you must cover your hands and face. Dont move abruptly on stand very slow movement, once you spot a coyote dont move while you can see its eyes let him slip behind cover before shouldering your firearm and turning your body. 4) Sit on a short stool/chair. This way you can sit on stand for 15 to 45 minutes. (Lions, bears, bobcats and smart old dogs) 5) Make sure to hide your truck. If the incoming predator sees your truck he will leave. 6) This one is more important then you might think, dont call to loud, start at a very low volume and after about 5 minutes you can turn it up a bit but they hear 10 times better then you think. Once you see an incoming predator turn off the caller it already knows right where you are (within 5/6 feet) even if he is still 300 yards away. If need to get his attention lip squeak, this will be necessary to stop him for a shot. Sometimes they will act like they dont see you and will circle you downwind, dont let him lip squeak to stop him but be ready to shoot. Have fun!

1 pointI specialize in remodels & I have had people ask me to go over the existing tile with new. My answer is absolutely NO!! Even if the existing tile is bonded good to the concrete, there is no way I’m going to take liability of going over existing!! You are asking for problems!!! I don’t care what anybody tells you, DEMO the existing tile & prep the floor correctly!! I have been in this industry since I was 15 & I am 50 now. My dad owned a carpet & tile store for years. There is no substitute when it comes to a quality job done proper & professional IMO!

1 pointYou will be glad you ripped it out. It is a lot of messy work and your house will be under an inch of dust, but worth it when it is done. We rented one of these from Home Depot to tear up about 1800 SF of tile and thinset. It took me the better part of the entire 24 hour rental and my arms and back were feeling it for days, but worth it in the end. https://www.homedepot.com/tool-truck-rental/27-LB-Demolition-Hammer/HM1214C/index.html

1 pointI would replace the broken tile with some designer fancy type tile and make it look like it was done like that on purpose. Screw all that work haha.
