Ah, the American dream. You are pissed because of someone elses success in life? You sound like a socialist. Last I checked this was a capitalism counrty. Anyone in this country has the same start in life and can make that life what they want. We all have choices to make and those choices have consequences and or rewards. Grow up, dont blame people who work their butts off to be successful for your families problems. Work harder, save money and make similar investments. I wish i had a few air bnbs to rent out. But i made other choices in life financially, worked my butt off to become debt free and can retire at 38 if I want. I have a high school diploma only, no college and no one helped me get to where im at. Stop crying, grow up and make better life choices. Also stop voting Democrat, you sound just like one.

Outdoorsman’s posted on there instagram account that they have a bunch of stuff free for pickup. Frames, shoulder harness, and hip belt. Basically everything except the bag itself. From what I could see it was for both the palisades and the spur i went down and picked one up for myself and a buddy. Plenty of gear as of an hour ago. They are changing warehouse locations I guess, everything is located about a half mile west of their shop on parkview (same street off of saguaro as their shop) grab one while you can!! I’m sure they will go quick

I would totally agree with this regarding antler growth. Every big bull I've found or had on camera is 95% done growing by the 4th of July.

I really have no use for just the frame and I’d have a hard time selling it. Needs to be sold as a package deal.

I’ve only ever used Weller’s. Haven’t had much done but have always been happy.

Also, if they are over a year wait, in normal times, it means they are behind. Because of the hunting cycle, if they only took in what they could complete in the annual cycle, things would never get much past a year theoretically, if it gets past a year, that means they haven't finished all the Elk for instance from the prior year, and are taking on more elk now, and it can cascade very fast from a 12 months wait to a 3 year wait. I can appreciate a taxidermist that only take repeat customers work and have high prices because they are managing their work flow to keep times down and customer service high with what they know they can handle.

Thought I would post some of my 21-22 season. Overall was a good season as I did not get out much due to being sick.

Saw a bull yesterday (unit 1) that was already a 5 point and super wide…..fronts were at least 18-20” long…..he may not finish out great, but he still will be a dandy when he’s done. Bigger than most people will ever kill, IMO. Not all doom and gloom.

Sure hope so! My personal opinion: the most critical time for moisture for antler growth for elk is March-May, an anything after the first week in July is probably too late to do anything. But for health of the herd, we will take it any day and time!

I’ve only met 2 taxidermists in my life that “should” be operating a business. Being able to do the work is the easy part, anyone who’s run a business knows that the hard part is the business end of it. Taxidermy seems to draw a special crowd of folks who are exceptionally terrible at business.

https://youtu.be/-Vmpmw-tqHk A little late but I was able to harvest a nice Ram this on 12/15/2021. I knew how special drawing this tag was (6 Bonus Points) and wanted to do everything I possibly could to earn this privilege. I immediately got in the phone and called everyone I knew that might have information that I could use, watched every video and read any type of information I could about Desert Bighorn. To be honest Bighorn hunting was something I never thought I would have to think about until I was 60, 70, 80 years old IF I was lucky! I knew I wanted to scout as much as possible. I attended the Sheep Clinic and also the banquet and I tried to absorb what ever information I could. I scouted hard about 10 weekends I was able to make it out. I took tons of video and pictures. I would spend all week reviewing/judging. I wasn’t to big on score but was hoping for a 170’s mature ram. When the hunt came I kept preaching patience to myself. I was wanting to spend time enjoying the hunt and that I did. I had lots of help from a lot of friends that made it when they could. The weather was perfect, it was overcast a few days, some light rain and highs in the upper 60’s. After seeing on average of about 10 or so different rams a day over different country, I finally found the Ram I wanted to take a shot at on Tuesday evening. We bedded him down and made a plan that he was there in the morning I would try and take him. Wednesday morning we had to walk in about a mile and there he was up and feeding. My buddy Marcos Ranged him at 600 yards I settled in with a nice cliff on my right, reminding myself not to get to excited and fall over. 610 yards, a little further than I was wanting to shoot but I was comfortable, we made it happen. I definitely couldn’t be anymore appreciative of the tag I had I understood and soaked it all in! Thanks to everyone’s advice and help, the wife of course, my family who helped wherever I needed, my 10 year old Brody who could only be out there 4 days because of school getting into the way! my friends with Ace in the Hole Outfitters Marcos, Jon and Ramon. Friends that helped glass, give advice and anything else I needed, Gabe, Brian Myers Matt, Drew, Craig, Kile, Ogle a long list that I’m sure I’m forgetting a lot of people by they know who they are. Also big thanks to Jon with Ace in the Hole in putting together this video for this once in a lifetime hunt !
