Take it. I am a Seasoned Turkey Hunter and had that same tag 4 years ago 2nd hunt and it is an easy hunt . I had never scouted ,went solo and killed right away. Like Predator said they don't get much pressure. I went down the night before. My Royal Slam is finished and all mounted . GO.

I've seen albinos' in the bab, but you can still some light color variations in the tail and wings, looks like a real clean domestic turkey. Just me

I know a guy shot a javelina and they coulnt find entrance or exit. Hung him by gambrels and when they started to open him up he woke up and started squealing and kicking, pissin all over himself. They put one in his head and finished up. Best he figured the projectile grazed the skull and knocked him out.

Do it. I see them every year in the same general area down there. They're not very afraid of vehicles and people. Message me if you need some locations.

If you are able to have a few days for the hunt I have no idea why you wouldnā€™t take itā€¦

We ought to have a no pm rule for 50 posts. That way we can ferret them out with their nonsense.

Dudes still alive. Found him on my late Dec hunt about 1/4 mile from where he got shot at. He wasn't limping. He was eating normally. I saw no scars or wounds. As far as I could tell he looked perfectly fine. I still don't know what the heck happened but it was good to see him alive and well. P1000238.mp4

In new brass I usually run a mandrel through the case mouth or use the expander in a die, to make sure they are not ā€œout of roundā€. Then I load them and fire. This will fire form to your chamber (kind of). Then ask Lance what to do next. @lancetkenyon šŸ˜‚ In the past I would then full length size with the die touching the shell plate and that was it. I learned with my ultra mag that this works but after a couple firings on the brass, it can be difficult to chamber. I wasnā€™t bumping the shoulder back like I thought I was. Get a headspace comparator set. Iā€™ve found it very useful and have eliminated this issue by measuring after firing and then bumping the shoulder back .002.

All I remember of this fella was our discussion about feral horses. Never cared for him after that.

To each his own I guess. I much rather put in the extra work and get a lot more firings out of my brass.
