Bad butt cartridge. I have a Browning BLR in .325?and a friend has what your selling. I know they've taken everything from Javalina to Elk. It's a great round, yet it's under appreciated. Good luck.

***** NO LONGER AVAILABLE ***** Hello All, I'm selling my Winchester 94 Pacific Railway 100TH Anniversary Commemorative rifle in .30-30. I have fired fewer than 20 rounds through it during my ownership and I was told by the PO that it had never been fired, but I have no way to validate that. It is in VG shape and looks to be close to unfired condition when I bought it. Stock is in great shape and receiver, etc. has very minor handling markings. Must sign a bill of sale and NOT be a prohibited buyer. I'll need to see you AZ DL. $950 + 1 box of ammo. Located in 85254. PM if interested or have questions. Eddie Rifle info link: https://lsbauctions.com/25100/winchester-94-golden-spike-commemorative-30-30-20-lever-rifle-mfd-1969-cr/ P.S. I will be listing three pistols soon: S&W 1006 in 10mm, M&P Shield Laser (green) in 9mm and M&P Shield Laser (green) in .45 ACP.

Just after watching the video I would guess the $100 was found using the trail at the end of n school house Rd in carefree.

All of the calibers mentioned will work for the intended purposes. One thing the .308 Winchester has going for it is the availability of ammunition in a retail environment. Most of the retailers I have visited in my area have seen some stock of .308 Winchester arrive for their shelves. Mostly the Winchester "Deer Season" loading and blue box Federal. While no one plans to forget their ammo for a hunt, or run short on a hunt, if it happens, .308 Win ammo is a cartridge likely to be found at a retailer. Now, the same can be said for the .270 Win and the .30-06 Gov't, but those rifies tend to be a bit heavier and longer than alot of kids can handle, one of the reasons the short action cartridges are preferred by many for starting off new hunters. I started my kids with a Remington Model 7 in .308 Winchester. Loaded up 125 gr bullets for practice and reasonable range deer hunting. Loaded or bought 165 grain premium bullet loadings for elk hunting. It worked out well for both of them. Well done to you for providing a rifle for a deserving youngster.

I do think 260 rem would be a good choice. Might be a little light for Elk though. Seems like you can find ammo easier for it than most though

For anyone willing to help fund the next giveaway gun any donations will be greatly appreciated. As a working man with a wife and daughter it gets hard to explain the money I put into the two guns I've donated but when you see the absolute thankfulness and appreciation that these kids show its worth every penny.

Special thanks to @Crazymonkey for the giveaway. That shows tremendous generosity. This kid is a serious hunter, with 3 elk and 2 deer under his belt at the age of 14. He’s broken 25 straight on the trap field, and took second place at the Ben Avery trap shoot for sctp a couple months ago. He’s also teaching his hound to run lions, hopefully.

Saw "AZTroutman" at the G&F Expo today buying some really nice deadheads through a buddy so his name couldn't be associated on the auction ledger... G&F officers recognized him, and mentioned the fact they would not be auctioning off the Powerline Buck.

Kev, He can work welding and go to school at the same time, much like Arizonian said. I'm amazed at the jobs available right now for anyone willing to work and can run a decent bead over a pipe toprail. About a month ago I walked on to a job site building pole barns and a roping arena and was offered top dollar with no certs, or references.. There's a kid there making great money and gets time off for school. It's an employee's market. But you might have him investigate the health effects of years inhaling toxic crap.

"Off Color Remarks" are usually solicited by uppity women playing hard to get when dressing the part. Ignore them and they resort to throwing things and accuse you of ignoring them because they are not good enough. They always get pissed when they roll over in the morning and you've left before the sun came up. Been that way for milleniums.

The fastest cartridge is undoubtedly the 6.5 CM. It must shoot at least 6,000fps.

We can't let this thread get to a second page without a 6.5 Creedmoor recommendation can we?
