There's another issue called the Wild Horse and Burro Protection Act 1971. Prior to that you could round them up and take them to slaughter. Next the USDA meat inspectors were ordered to stop inspecting horse meat under the 2nd Bush presidency, and that effectively closed the equine slaughter houses. Problem is the feds have failed to manage the population of the herds using tools such as chemical castration.

For some they did and others like me struggled.......Still about a week or two from being a wide open bite. Highest water temp we found was 59 degrees on the river end.

A good quad or sxs is recommended for 6a or just a truck you don't give a crap if you bang it up some spots are difficult to get to after the fires that went thru .There are several places that require some tight squeezes and the spots don't have to be overly hard to get to .I've got a video I posted stuck between cows and cows and can tell you that spot is along a trail that people will pass up .Myself and several friends have taken some good bulls off it and my dads muzzleloader bull a 6x7 was taken less than 2 miles from there .My family and I usually will be up camping in April or May and a few hours in the sxs will give you a good start .my muzzleloader bull elk.I've tried 3 times to rotate pic and it comes out the same

I think most real non posse hunters are mostly frustrated with big money hunts because they know this opportunity at a true giant was taken from them all in the name of money. Most of these rich fellas would not even come close to killing these trophies if they had to do it on their own. I would like to know how many averages non posse hunters were aware of these giant elk, coues deer, mule deer, and any other trophy were out there and spent years scouting them and waiting for a tag only to have a rich dude and his posse go in and kill the animal. I bet many people on this site have lost opportunities at these animals to the posse hunters. I know several people that had pics of the JJ bull and they kept it under the radar in hopes they would get a tag and be able to hunt him. Some of them even had the tag that year and were anxiously waiting for the real hunt to start.

Why not make a hunting season for them? The meat is good and you would fill your freezer. It would be a good fill in hunt between elk tags. The problem then could be controlled by hunter and they could make money with tag sales.

So if the guy is a poaching p o s and a felon why is there a post for a rifle in the classified? That's a felon in possession .That will get him instantly a free ride to jail .

How did you come to that conclusion? Just curious. Here is how I found out. He posted this yesterday and then posted the same on 2 other websites. The screen names on the other sites say it all When I asked if he had any stolen cameras or poached animals to trade, he erased his post. Guess that proves it. 🤣 I don’t like poachers. I have no beef with him though. Just think it’s really weird that he still frequents the site.

Tough for a guide to give up his spots for a day or 2 hunt. Most will want to book longer just because their info is so valuable. Mullins would be my top choice for Unit 9. Don't forget about Josiah aka Sir Royal on here. As crazy as he is, he is a good guide and knows unit 9 well. He doesn't guide for the money, so I am sure he will hook you up with a great deal or maybe even do it for free. Send him a PM and see what he can do for you. Good luck
