Last year was March 20th because they screwed the pooch and the draw was a disaster. If things go as supposed to I would think cards could be hit (hopefully) next Friday the 25th. Draw results 1 1/2 weeks after that so first or second week of March.

Gunbroker.com has one S/S Ruger .204 that is equivalent to mine listed w/starting bid of $1895.00 for NIB. Truegunvalue.com has Used 700's in .204 listed at $1200.00 and no sales of a 700 in .204 under $1500 in the last 5 months. As for the Ruger Vaqueros, I found one set on Gunbroker, Used, at $2800.00 and they weren't in 45LC. Lot's of .357's out there. I've hunted deer since I was 13 years old in Texas, Louisiana, and now in Arizona, I'm on the upside of 60 now. One of your other members suggested I post on this site in order to give you folks an opportunity to purchase hard to find weapons. I've got a half dozen more I'm going to offer to sale because I don't shoot them. They've been a "retirement fund" for me, long before 401Ks. I've been buying/selling and collecting weapons since I was 18 and bought my first .22, a Marlin Model 60 Itasco Diamond Jubilee--(try to find a price on that one)--I still have and shoot that rifle. You folks don't know me and I don't know you. Now you know a little about me and I know a heck of a lot about the people on this Board based on your comments. I will be taking down the ad for the Vaquero's and withdrawing from sale the Remington 700 to any member of this Board. I will will not be posting anything else on this forum and respectfully request that you remove me as a member of this group. I'll leave this post open as a warning to other "Newbies" so that they can judge for themselves whether or not they want to join this group of "fellow hunters" that extends such a "warm" welcome to "Newbies" and you can bet your last dime that I will be letting all the folks I hunt with or run across in the field know about you're "welcoming attitude".

It seems all we ever hear about is negative experiences in customer service, so I want to relay a positive experience recently. In December I emailed Sig customer service, as my LRF (an early Sig Kilo 2000) that my LRF would no longer range past about 400 yards. This was after putting new batteries in etc. It took a couple weeks to get an email back, but after a few emails with a rep, he gave me a RMA, and I got the LRF in the mail. Less than a week after they received it, I got an email notification of a packaged shipped from them. The are not only replacing my LRF, but upgrading me to a Sig Kilo 5K, 100% free of charge. Wonderful service and I couldn't ask for anything better!

Tessa was able to put her tag on this oryx on the last afternoon of our hunt. We hunted hard for several days we saw between 150-250 oryx per day. With as many as we saw only a few were real trophy size animals. Several of these were in areas that just did not present a shot opportunity. So with time running out on the last day she was able to take this bull. She passed on several bigger ones she was very happy with the animal she took. I hope to be able to hunt here again it was an incredible hunt.

In the wise words of Mark Twain...."It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubts" These people have not learned that lesson yet.....and now EVERYONE knows. Except the NASA shirt guy. Props to him.

As someone who cares neither way. You weren't much help either. No photos, no contributions and high prices. There tends to be a lot of scammers that roll in here due to the lack of minimal posts. If you come in with no contributions beyond classifieds with a bunch of no photo high dollar items, you're most likely going on blast. It is what it is, your exit post will be viewed by anyone who has been here for time as an oh well good riddance. Hope GB and all the other sites work out for you. This is a no nonsense group that isn't real warming. I've been put on blast because I like a German band that plays 70s style rock in the 2010's...my avatar is the band Kadavar and someone felt the need to say I was hippie because I didn't have the same view as them. Get a thick skin and prove yourself or do like you and move on. ETA. Not sure why you need a 3 paragraph swan song about 2 posts being mean representing an entire board, heck you had someone go to bat for you... Actually seems worse for you. Hopefully momma gives you a hug.

No, please don't go, you've shared so much knowledge with the site and have helped so many here. It will be a great loss.

Plain and simple, she wasn't prepared!! I've been hunting and fishing in Alaska for 30 plus years... I wouldn't think of heading into the woods with just a .380!! She should've had a 338 magum at the very least. I keep a 454 on my hip at all times, and I like my .338 mag Browning repeater for moose and my .458 for bear. I carry my 454 even if I'm fishing!! I take no chances when I'm there. Nature is unforgiving and she was lucky to get a second chance.

Remember when Jim Rome used to call that race the "I Killed A Dog" ? Thinking if someone chooses to be in the wild unarmed, they need to be at peace with whatever comes next. e.g. Timothy Treadwell. Not really sure why this made the news other than they shot a moose out of season. Do you think she'll be brought up on animal cruelty charges because her dogs could not escape since they were tethered together and she took no precautions to defend them? I know, a ridiculous question. I just have little tolerance for morans. If that were a hobby of mine, pretty sure I would make weight allowances to have a Marlin 45-70 guide gun in a scabbard ready to go and easy to get to.

It dont matter what you shoot if you cant hit a moose.

Larger guns could easily go off? I wasn’t aware the size of the gun determined that? F’ing! People!

Can I shoot a Triceratops if it's wearing a AZGFD radio collar? Calling the Triceratops during the rut is problematic. You'll often call in a T-Rex or Allosaurus too looking for a Trip Tip meal. But they're not in season. Better have great cammo.

You could also get a second rifle tag in units like 26 where there were 1000 tags issued for a hunt. Of course back in the late 70's the population was 2.5 million compared to over 7 million now.

That is super awesome!! Glad you were able to share an awesome family hunt with tags filled! Congratulations to your kids on their patience, determination, and successful hunt 😃

Might want to think about a bore guide also. Wanna keep that cleaning rod going down your barrel straight. As far as the brushes you can go a size or two larger, but not smaller, .270 or 7mm will work in a 6.5 barrel.

Will with TwoWindy Taxidermy created this flat rug for a friend. The flat rug idea is really cool looking.
