Not to screw up a sale but I saw about the same quality 243 ammo for $24 a box at walmart yesterday. $2 a round is pretty high for 243.

You gonna buy some? If not, STFU. His merchandise , his price. As usual, nothing positive from you

Thanks for the welcome guys! CatfishKev - We have a place in San Tan Valley - not used to being so close to other people, not sure I will get used to that, but wife doesn't want to move father out. Been down to Sierra Vista and to the base a few times - good looking country down there! HorseHunter - I won't miss out on the Idaho OTC - and the no points draw. Keeping my residency there. Hard to walk away from so much opportunity.

Had a good time on a 1.5 trip on the Tribute last weekend. We fished off Colonet in Baja and the yellowtail were scarce but the afternoon bottom fishing for reds and lings was excellent. It was a nice change from tuna fishing. The Tribute is running this trip on weekends through this month but I think they are pretty well booked. The Liberty out of Fishermans is also running similar trips. Double dropper loops with 10 to 20 ounces of lead was the ticket for us…We did actually hit blue fin first thing in the morning and a fewguys landed them on flylines.

Ive killed 4 elk 3 with my bow and I have no interest in chasing those rags you’ve been hunting. It’s possible, but giant bulls are rarely killed on the late archery. Maybe if I was as good whtmtnman. Early season 4b, what other hunt is there

I have had real good luck with the Lowa Tibet boot, but so far in AZ have just gone with lightweight trail shoes. Bought a used pair of Kennetrek Hardscrabbles a few years back and for $150, sent them back to Bozeman for a tune up - came back just like new. For me, the hardscrabble feel like a good middle ground between a stiffer mountain boot like the Lowa and a trail shoe.

Welcome to the site! Just saw you were from Eastern Idaho. Did you bring this wind we are having with you? Nice intro and congrats on living life on your own terms. You may miss the OTC hunts of the Gem state.

There you go. Just like Ed27 said. Good for everything but 9,10,3, and 23.

I am at a similar but tougher spot with 9 BPs. I'm on the fringe of the pass in 2 units I like.

I had pretty much the same problem all my life. Ordered a pair of Hanwag Alaskan GTX boots with custom footbed from Lathrop and Sons, and they have been excellent. I have covered hundreds of miles, many in rough country, and have never had a blister. They are not cheap, but I would buy another pair without a second thought. Right now, I am at the point of finding a good cobbler to re-sole my current pair. Can't comment on the other posts with respect to various brands. I am sure there are many that are good, but how well do the hunting forums support re-selling pairs of boots after you try them and then need to try something else? I have seen some great deals on used boots, and maybe that is the way to go. However, you might wait a long time for the right size and model to come along. One thing I have found helpful is when I have a hunt coming up, I start rubbing my feet with alcohol about 3 weeks prior. I have heard it helps toughen the skin. Also found Vaseline between the toes reduces friction when you are in rough country all day.

They’re $3199 and that’s MAP pricing so unless you’re getting some kind of pro staff discount that’s what they cost. Add in another $200-300 for sales tax and someone can save $400-500 with these. I know I wouldn’t sell mine for $3k.

The way i see it, they are 3,199+tax. Probably going to save around 3-400 rather than buying new. Good deal for someone!

I think the biggest difference between the 2 is there are no memes for the .308!
