Well got it done yesterday again like last year. I couldn’t pass on this one. Smacked him right at 27 yards quartering away and he didn’t run 50 yards. Scored him at around 110” and he’s a 2 point. Old deer too

Like others it started in July w a 2100 $ hit and goof up from AZGFD, but I got the refund later. Who cares I was going sheep hunting. Scouting started right away and I spent over 30 days scouting in the summer heat and leading up to the hunt. Several target rams we’re seen but as sheep hunting goes they move off in September making it hard to relocate them. Opening day came quick and I spent 8 hard grinding days trying to locate target rams with my close friends. Day 8 we spotted a group of 7 rams and this old desert warrior was a new ram I have not seen before. We’re did he come from ? A quick stalk and some videoing is the rams before the shot my lifetime tag was filled. This ram will probably be the biggest taken in that unit. Rough score 179.5 net 177.5. On cloud 9. I can’t thank my buddies enough for grinding it out with me.

We put the Christmas tree in a different spot and as a result I reluctantly agreed to move my bighorn mount. I had to pull out my cordless drill I got a few years ago for Christmas and make a few new holes to hang the sheep. Reminds me of the time I asked whether I should trade it out for a brushless version. He basically told me; don't be a pussy, just go buy what you want or quit bitching, or something along those lines. He said I would likely never know the difference. Boy was he right. Was kind of a Richard about it but dang I miss that stuff! Not enough guys out there to tell it like it is and call you out. Cheers to Delw!

I’m confused. It’s pretty clear ethically it’s first come first serve at a hunting site in AZ. It’s not illegal to put a blind where one already exists. Someone beat you there and you started an argument rather than saying “good luck” and leaving. Are you actually blaming your guide? Why didn’t you just leave rather than argue with the first one there? To me, at least, you are equally culpable. You could have behaved very differently and changed the entire outcome. You are not taking any responsibility. Man up.

My son got lucky and got his first bull; hope everyone is recovered well...

Was hoping to hunt the last week of December, but didn’t have the patience! Ended up tagging out opening day on this unique guy.

I had a pair of dress shoes crumble out at dinner. I thought the problem was only in that brand. Nope. It was the same problem. Wear them more seems to be the answer.

That's beautiful. Wish there was a coin beside it for comparison. In the shape of a Clovis point. How long is it? I've been told I can find points anywhere. Yesterday I found this broken obsidian point in my driveway. Must have brought it in from a neighboring wash when I was putting gravel down.
