8 pointsDang. So where do you guys draw the line with property rights? If it’s your private backyard and you want to exercise your right to privacy on it that’s ok I guess. That’s a small acreage you say? Well where to do draw the line? 5 acres? 50? 500? Ok. So just 50,000 acres pieces of PRIVATELY owned land? That’s the only ones you want the government to blackmail access out of the owner by “shutting down” hunting on it?!? Seriously? Must be a lot of Biden stickers stuck next to CWT stickers on the backs of trucks from what I’m reading on here…. The epitome of government overreach is me telling YOU what you can and can’t do on your own land. That’s literally what democrats do. Just to stop the “it’s half state land” argument before it even starts. That’s the way checkerboard works. If you want to change that then work on that, the land they are dealing with on access is PRIVATE land!! It happens to landlock some sweet state land and that’s the way the west has been since the 1870’s. It sucks but it’s true. Either lobby for change in corner crossing and then strap your boots on and hike through it, or get a job and buy some land with checker board locked land in it. That’s the cool thing about the America I know and love, there’s NOTHING stopping you from doing that.. except maybe democrats (and a bunch of CWT members from the sound of it) angling for your private land rights when you buy it. 🤷🏼

3 pointsDoug always has the coolest pictures and it reminded me of a neat sequence of photos my buddy caught of me stalking a bedded mule deer buck for a picture. Im a very new photographer but I am enjoying it when I can. Jeremy was couple hundred yards away and I was able to get within about 50 yards of the buck. My cousin and friend Jeremy took these 2 pictures and the last is the picture that I took.

2 pointsAbout 10 years ago a buddy asked me to help liquidate his dad's farm after he'd passed on. After hauling trailers to tractors back to the valley, my friend and I made another trip down to the farm to pickup any remaining scrap and dispose of it so the place could go on the market. One item in the barn caught my eye and I asked to keep it. Was an old rolling tool box. Ended up in my shop holding my welding and cutting tools. While moving it in the shop yesterday I decided it's time to do some research on it. Decal is pretty much toast but could make out the maker and date of manufacture... Remline made in 1951. Restore it or just use and appreciate it?

2 pointsI would definitely have shot him bedded if I wanted the hunt to end. Given I've applied for this hunt for 13 years and this my first time with the tag, I definitely did not want it to end on day 2 of a 21 day hunt. I'm also looking for something a little more like this..

1 pointWe put the Christmas tree in a different spot and as a result I reluctantly agreed to move my bighorn mount. I had to pull out my cordless drill I got a few years ago for Christmas and make a few new holes to hang the sheep. Reminds me of the time I asked whether I should trade it out for a brushless version. He basically told me; don't be a pussy, just go buy what you want or quit bitching, or something along those lines. He said I would likely never know the difference. Boy was he right. Was kind of a Richard about it but dang I miss that stuff! Not enough guys out there to tell it like it is and call you out. Cheers to Delw!

1 pointI heard Matt is going to be on the ME podcast this week to debate the merits of social media with Steve. I am interested to hear both sides, and am hopeful that he has free reign to speak on the podcast. Sometimes Steve gets a little full of himself on there so it will be interesting to see the dynamic.

1 pointI’ll never forget the story of a rancher friend of mines grandpa,. he came a cross 2 guys in a jeep shooting his water tank. Mounted on horse back he rode to the jeep that has its door left open. He put two 45lc into the open door. the driver came running over yelling “Hey, that’s my jeep” the rancher spoke softly” that’s my tank” they loaded up and drove off.

1 pointI would be curious to see how much land they control that is public and how much is state? Many don't seem to get it that state land is not public land. It has been leased and money paid for the right to use it. You can't see this well but the whole side of this stock tank is littered in busted bottles and trash from shooters. Hunters get the rap for this kind of stuff. If I were a rancher and could shut it down to the public I would too. It only takes one idiot to cause problems for everyone.

1 pointIt’s a slow but sure progression. I’m not for it, was just surprised it lasted as long as it did. The next thing coming down the pipe is private land tags. Those Indians are sitting on a few million a year in revenue for the elk and antelope they have and they will get that extracted, it’s just a matter of time. Again I’m not saying I’m for it or that it’s good by any means, was just exclaiming that I can’t believe it lasted as long as it did. I watched guys complain about the “greedy” owners because they had to pay $85 and couldn’t drive their side by side where ever they wanted. They were being so generous by allowing that access for free and for pay. You don’t even come close to scratching the surface of the cost of ownership of that land at $85 a person access fee even if you sell thousands.

1 pointI wondered when this day was gonna get here. Honestly can’t believe they put up with all the bullshit they did for as long as they did. I’m gonna get flamed for this but I’ve never seen a place with such lack of respect for private land ownership as I did in AZ. Everyone was losing their minds they had to pay $85 to have full run of a half a billion dollar ranch like it was some kind of inconvenience to them.

1 pointNah, Chad knew what he was doing. Then took it a step further and looked like a complete assclown racking a round in his chamber. What a true piece of chit.
