Doug always has the coolest pictures and it reminded me of a neat sequence of photos my buddy caught of me stalking a bedded mule deer buck for a picture. Im a very new photographer but I am enjoying it when I can. Jeremy was couple hundred yards away and I was able to get within about 50 yards of the buck. My cousin and friend Jeremy took these 2 pictures and the last is the picture that I took.

Seems like the Big Bo not signing agreements happens every few years. I have just never heard of the Commission considering reducing tag #s by the amount they are talking about. And only for bulls, which seems like the State is saying, "If we can't use the land, you can't have outfitters paying your fees to guide hunters either. We will take our ball and go home." Because who pays a guide for a cow tag. I would bet the bull/cow ratio climbs like crazy if the draw suggestions do happen. I think it is borderline criminal to allow zero public use of the public lands locked withing the ranch boundaries. It would be interesting if all the AZ STL inside those same boundaries was revoked for running cattle upon. I bet an agreement could be made pretty quickly after that.

Back in the early 1980s when I was living in South Texas, I motored across Falcon Lake along the Texas-Mexico border to the submerged, old town of Zapata in a 14' aluminum and 10 HP Johnson. I do not know if I'd make that trip today. I took a few black and white images, but have since lost the negatives. Here are edits of poor scans of the only two prints I have.

How about some coues deer posting! Finally got a late tag in one of my favorite units. Opening weekend had several easy passes and I had time to get a few in the spotter. With the big guys absent, the small 3x3s were bachelored up with lots of sparring. The mulies were solo. It looks like 3 more days of weather and a full moon coming just before Christmas. I can't stop thinking about where I'm going back when vacation starts next week. 🙃 Anyone else??

The Big Bucks are coming out of there lairs!!! Seen this big boy doing some chasing activity on a hot doe this passed weekend. He was very smart and didn't stray too far from the heavy brush lines. Made a mistake and bedded in a killable zone! Stalked up to 60 yards from him bedded and waited 2 hours for him to get up and stretch, freakin drilled him! He didn't go more than 70 yards before piling up!!! It's been an awesome year of hunting! I just want to thank God for making all this possible, hunting is something sacred in my family! Not literally but kinda lol.. We eat sleep and S%$t hunting! To many more hunting memories of lifetime. Looking for some 3" 20 gauge steel for ducks and geese ,i can not find at any gun stores or online. And if there any 3.5" 12 gauge bb floating around ill take that also lol.

I’ll never forget the story of a rancher friend of mines grandpa,. he came a cross 2 guys in a jeep shooting his water tank. Mounted on horse back he rode to the jeep that has its door left open. He put two 45lc into the open door. the driver came running over yelling “Hey, that’s my jeep” the rancher spoke softly” that’s my tank” they loaded up and drove off.

For POI (Point of Impact) changes, yes. All my rifles have a POI change when I went from brake to can. Anywhere from .5 to 1.0 MIL (1.5MOA to 3.5MOA). Totally normal. It is the added weight of the can hanging off the end of the barrel. As for velocity gains, I have seen between 15-35fps gains with the can. As for accuracy changes, I saw very little changes. Only had to slightly tweak one load. It was on the upper end of an accuracy node to begin with, and I feel the added velocity is what caused the need to tweak. Dropped .2gr, and back to shooting like before.

I like it! Always wanted to put a 4BT Cummins in one to cruise around the farm in....... Then I'd have to buy a farm of course.

I got drawn for Unit 36 archery only javelina. Does anybody else have this tag and would you be interested in camping together or letting me camp near you? I normally don't mind camping by myself but with the Border security concerns in the area, I don't think it is a good idea to stay down there by myself for any length of time. Just throwing this out there for anybody that might be in the same boat.

I called that before you even said it, again reread my post. If you have a problem with the way an organization handles their finances then address that, they’re having a budget shortfall, they said that and were upfront with that when they sold these chances and tags. There’s more to a budget then most people understand. I get sick of hearing over and over about the “new truck” thing. Seriously? You must have never run a business as the most expensive thing out there is manpower. You can’t have some intern biologist sitting on the side of the road tinkering on a broke down pickup. I run 3 different businesses and all three run new or nearly new equipment. Can’t think of a friend of mine with a successful business that doesn’t run it that way. Maintaining some equity in vehicles and trading regularly is predicable and the least expensive way to operate when your workforce is in remote locations and likely doesn’t have a mechanical background.
