I gotta say I am way more empathetic to him being slack on government red tape as opposed to a blatant game law violation such as drones, flying during a hunt, or outright poaching.

Like others it started in July w a 2100 $ hit and goof up from AZGFD, but I got the refund later. Who cares I was going sheep hunting. Scouting started right away and I spent over 30 days scouting in the summer heat and leading up to the hunt. Several target rams we’re seen but as sheep hunting goes they move off in September making it hard to relocate them. Opening day came quick and I spent 8 hard grinding days trying to locate target rams with my close friends. Day 8 we spotted a group of 7 rams and this old desert warrior was a new ram I have not seen before. We’re did he come from ? A quick stalk and some videoing is the rams before the shot my lifetime tag was filled. This ram will probably be the biggest taken in that unit. Rough score 179.5 net 177.5. On cloud 9. I can’t thank my buddies enough for grinding it out with me.

Does seem a little over the top.

I met him a few years back and have multiple mutual friends. Definitely a down to earth not full of himself guy and never heard a bad word. You’re right if this is a first offense I too feel bad for him for the avenues this will open or close. We small business owners of all types need to pay attention!

A3 has a reputation for blocking roads, checking others cams and deleting them, several guys on several ridges walking one hunter in to kill, driving in wilderness areas, telling other hunters "we saw you watching that buck, we have a high paying client coming in to kill that buck, go find another one", crossing unit bounderies to kill big animals etc. Even recently heard how they supposedly found the jimmy john bull and if its true its even more disgusting then all the things listed above. I have never heard any of these things about Wards.

LOL, you don't even know me, who I know, or what I know. How can you make statements suggesting you know more than a person you don't know or know anything about? Maybe you do and maybe you don't. Anyhow, it's all good, do what you have do.

I think some of us are mature enough to judge guides and outfitters based on personal encounters and a case by case basis.

This sucks. I've met Steve on a handful of occasions. Really nice guy and great family. If true, I hope this is some sort of simple error or oversight that can be corrected.

The commission went overboard IMO. His wife is probably studying for the guide test as we speak.

Ward was a stand up guy when I had a antelope tag his way. Don’t know him personally but he had zero reason to help me out.

Never met Steve or hunted with him. I hope the penalty matches the crime- to revoke someone's lively hood for 5 years is very long time.

Fifty one percent of unit 10 is private land. We the tax payers pay for the other 49%. Much of the road damage is caused by the private land lessees and owners. They far outnumber the hunters that traverse the land. Twenty four hour a day cattle operations and traffic related to such is ten fold to the number of hunters who access the land. Last year much of the traffic was water hauling trucks and this year with the drought conditions only getting worse roads will need even more maintenance. If you can imagine the damage a 20 ton water hauling truck hauling water every day does to a road vs. a 1/4 ton truck you wouldn't even argue. I've been hunting that ranch since 1985 and I'm tired of hunters getting the blame for it. Another thing is the lessees are the ones demanding the hunting fees not the land owners.

I could be mistaken here but the part I always have contention with is the that a lot of that land 'on the ranch' is checkerboarded with public land but all with pvt land access. I don't believe in this state a landowner has to grant access to public land but sure eliminates a lot of state ground if some sort of agreement can't be reached and sure allows for a lot of 'free' grazing land for the owners of the surrounding land.

Here are some more pics. This guy had over 106inches of mass. The last pic is my ram standing next to a mid 160s

With the grass that they have down there this year it will be very good hunting. One of the big keys is to head down after a rain. Scenting conditions get good and it starts to get exciting.

Does this count as a deer drive

Doubt they would go with rifle but maybe muzzleloader. I am all for the draw on at least the desert units. With the closure of other units the ones left open should be a real sh!t show this year

Mandatory reporting, not eligible to apply for draw/purchase OTC unless the prior years reporting has been filed.

I didn’t know Kuiu solids were cool now. Im alittle sad

You guys that want a draw are out of your minds. That would be a dang shame.

I doubt anywhere even close to 3600 archery deer were killed last year. Maybe the 800
