3 pointsThis rare multi-colored beast will go anywhere and everywhere you can take it. Hard to find 1979 Toyota Landcruiser 4 speed manual transmission, front lockers, 95999 miles, comes with soft and hard doors, tires are in great shape. Restored salvage title. One of only 2 land cruisers for sale in the state of Arizona. Obviously you can see it’s in prime condition for a good time. Runs and drives great! Lots of fun times have been had in it and now it’s time to pass it along to someone else. These suckers in pristine condition are 45-65k, go look for yourself. Good luck finding one priced lower than 25k. Price is $18,000 obo which is below the NADA value, the price is negotiable. located in Benson. I am open to trades plus cash on buyers end! Would be interested in: custom rifles, high dollar optics, other off reading equipment, ammunition

2 pointsWe had a great hunt. We had 4 tags and were able to fill 3 of them. We had alot of hard work to reach the elk grounds, and then had hard but successfully hunts. My buddy and I took 2 adult onset hunters out on a cow tag. One was on his first big game hunt. We were able to get my buddy on his first hunt a great opportunity, and he closed the deal with a nice clean shot. His cow went DRT. My long time hunting buddy was able to close the deal too on a nice one too. Tuesday evening I decided to make a final push as I had to leave Wednesday. We hiked in over 2 miles to get to our spot all uphill. I with about 20 minutes of light left I heard a bull chuckle behind me. I didn't know if he was a single or had a herd. About 10 minutes later the herd made it way into the meadow. The first 5 were a mix of cows and calves. They stayed grouped up so I didn't have a shot. A couple more straggled in, and 1 presented a clean shot so I took it. We packed her out in 1 trip. I am a big dude, but that sucked. I decided it sucked less than hiking another 4 miles round trip though. I took the cut meat and 2 hind quarters. My buddy took the 2 fronts and my rifle. It SUCKED, but we made it and have many awesome experiences and stories from the past week or so. Pic 1 is the first timer. Pic 2 is my long time buddy who got the biggest cow Pic 3 is upside down, but is mine.

2 pointsMy little brother (zackcarp) and his wife found this buck. Unfortunately opening day we got the news that our dad had passed away so we left thinking we were done. Fortunately i was able to return with some friends a couple days later and make it happen. I know that I had my dads help getting it done. This buck will be known as my Dads buck from here on. I got my passion for hunting from my dad and am doing my best to pass it on to my daughters.

2 pointsLate Hunt will be just fine. I heard of good Hunters having a tough time many different years on the early hunt. No need to panic.!.............BOB!

2 pointsI heard of guys on the early hunt seeing 200" bucks, but they were tough to hunt. I did not see many brutes taken. I bet the big Magnum burn really changed the landscape up there. Meaning relearning the unit on the west side. In another 2-5 years, watch what happens if we get the moisture going like the late summer rains we had. Came too late for the northern units, but the desert units will probably be great this year. Not to sound harsh, but a lot of the guides are using "Detroit Blinds" almost exclusively. If the bucks are in the transition, those guides won't be seeing them. Also, with most tanks holding water, the bucks are spread out instead of congregating to the GFD trick tanks like the last few years. Thus, saying the unit sucks. I would bet the late hunt is going to be a different story if the bucks keep moving down.

1 pointFor Sale or Trade: Ruger Precision Rifle chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor, this rifle was got me into long range shooting, then was shot by my daughter. It is a great rifle that shoots sub-moa with factory ammo. I can also provide all of my chronograph and Kestrel Data. It is great for kids or new shooters, and also hunters, this rifle has taken 14 animals so far. It has approximately ~600 rounds through the barrel, with plenty of life left. It is pretty much stock with the exception of the pistol grip and Dead Air Key-Mo Muzzle Brake. I am only selling because I now have 3 Bolt Rifles chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor lol. Asking $900 or would be interested in trades of some sort. Located in Gilbert

1 pointWhen I was 18 years old me and another guy hunted 9 days without seeing a deer. I learned a lot about what not to do. Not tagging out has taught me more than killing one.

1 pointIt’s definitely been a grind. My dad had the same tag as trphyhntr and I glassed up these two bucks yesterday and he decided the 3 point was good enough for his tag.

1 pointYou loose your loyalty point for not putting in for consecutive years and you will have to put in for 5 years in a row to get that back all the rest are draw points and carry over you just don't get the loyalty

1 pointLook politics aside, these guys saved a bunch of lives recently. Highly commendable! https://www.sandiegofishreports.com/fish_reports/180007/san-diego-heroes-honored-for-miraculous-lifesaving-rescue-at-sea.php

1 pointDepends on what type of hunting and what type of terrain you'll be hunting. How far you want to shoot? Both are great calibers but the 300 win mag will deliver more "punch" at longer distances with heavier bullets.

1 pointI have two of these as well. My Grandmother passes as I was setting up camp for a deer hunt, memorable hunt reminiscing about her. My grandfather passed 2 days before opening day of my archery bull tag. An incredibly emotional hunt feeling as though he was there with me. I can only imagine how it felt with having your dad "with" you.

1 pointThis month has been hard, wife’s birthday, our anniversary, and 6 month anniversary of her passing was yesterday. I’m getting stronger and more leathery with every passing milestone. Today I decided it’s time to get back to meal prep. I started it last spring and dropped 50lbs by last years elk hunt. Currently I’ve gained that back and then some. Not easy being forced into the single life! Fast food is food and easy when you throw yourself into work to forget. Anyways, today I made lunch for the week... breakfast is oatmeal with dehydrated cranberries, cherries, and blueberries. Topped with cinnamon. Lunch is Frank’s red hot marinated chicken breast with broccoli and sweet potato. Haven’t been eating supper for awhile but I’ll figure that out.

1 pointI guess “good bull” is in the eye of the beholder. Admittedly, I had set my sights on a bull north of 370. My bull didn’t come close to that! Would I trade my 320ish bull and the experience I had getting him for a 400” bull that I showed up and shot? Not a chance!

1 pointYou’ve been putting in for this hunt for at least 16 years, and as stated, you will probably never hunt this unit again. I had the early archery hunt in this unit last year, speaking from experience, you are in for a treat. I’ve heard this unit described as the Jurassic park of elk units, it lives up to the name. When it’s all said and done, I’m not sure you’re looking for the above described hunting experience... essentially, show up and shoot an elk. I did not hire a guide, but am not opposed at all to them. I would just make sure you get the full experience from this once in a lifetime hunt. I hunted my butt off last year, and to be honest, mid way through thought I might give up hunting all together. I filled my tag with minutes to spare on day 14. It was a roller coaster from start to finish, looking back it’s one of the greatest experiences of my life. One that I will never forget. I hope you get to have the same experience I did, guide or not. Good luck

1 pointThe experience as a DIYer is tough to beat and accomplishment. But if an outfitter is what you want, you should call Mogollon Rim Outfitters, don’t think you will meet a better outfitter/guides out there. Ground Pounders do kill giants in 23 every year.
