Last year Nash got straight A’s the entire year. As a reward we decided to go hunt antelope in WY. We didn’t have a lot of points so we had to hunt a unit with very limited public land and boy were the bucks skittish. Last night after a one mile stalk via an irrigation ditch this buck decided to go on a runabout and stopped at 150 to get a look at us. Nash made an excellent quartering towards us shot and the rest is history.

I was in unit 9 for a turkey hunt/deer scouting and the rut was going good still. Called a few bulls into my camp during the night. That was fun. Then I caught this big ole 5 point walk into 15 yards to drink water. Buggest elk I ever seen. His backs alone seemed to be over 18 inches. He walked away then I heard him do a few bugles

Super pumped while out scouting for my buddies daughters juniors hunt and also hunting at the same time we came across this unique buck and he was plenty good enough for me to put my tag on and the cool thing is I haven’t hunted with fix bladed Broadhead in a long time and I found one that I absolutely love and it did the job and I recommend this head to anyone out there it also flies really well at long distances. Magnus Black Hornet!! I got them at Robinsons Archery in Tucson and will probably be my go to broad head from here on out!!

Shot this guy on opening morning. Spent a few days scouting before my hunt to find some elk to get into and i found a few. Spent most my time scout for wifes 3a3c tag. Opening mor ing I Come up a small hill to look in a meadow and across it i see this guy chasing a cow all over. One cow call and the cow heard it and came running and the bull was right behind. They came into 20 yards searching and after a few seconds of not seeing anything turned to walk away and I stopped him at 40 yards and shot him. He ran 50 yards and died. Shot him with a rage. I know people give that broadhead a bad review but they have never let me down and always leave huge holes.. been up in 3a3c with the wife ever sense trying to fill her tag. Seen plenty of bulls and have had a opportunity everyday and passed on a ton of bulls. Last night she missed. this morning put an arrow over the back of one. Hope it pans out she is getting discouraged. sorry for the sideways pics from on the phone in the woods. I am happy i could send it.

Got my first rifle coues hunt this month. I got this buck on camera once over salt. I've set up more cameras up and down this wash hoping to get him again soon. He is in low desert, so I've got a few hills picked out to glass the ocotillo from. If I can't find him, I'll head up to some higher country where the coues bucks are a little bit more dense.

We had alot of fun while chasing the September Bugles. It was tough for finding big bulls this year however, with the drought during horn growth season. We passed on many herd bulls trying to find something better. We shot the biggest bull we saw, a bull I saw while scouting, minus one tine, on the 4th day of hunting, which happens to be our shared birthday! Getting in position and the final sequence and realization of the accomplishment will be quite the memory for the rest of our lives. My wife and daughter are better shots than myself and most men for some reason. Maybe because they care just a little bit less and that allows them to focus on the task better?

Seems more likely you checked back in because facebook and instagram are down and you needed something to read while you pop a squat and change your tampon.

I will be either in a Black Ram 2500, or a Green Nissan Xterra. Awesome that he can reach out to 300 yards and is comfortable there! For what it's worth, the last 5 Elk kills between myself and my direct family in 22N combine for about 115 yards total The long shots are DEFINTELY out there, but they like to walk right up on you as well! Just be ready!

I had a great group of friend along to experience this hunt with me and we all had the time of our lives hunting an animal that many people will never get to pursue.

At the first shot the sheep didn't even flinch. I hadn't accounted enough for the angle of the shot! As he trotted across the ridge i made an adjustment and when he stopped i squeezed the trigger. And he dropped. He started rolling down the hill and came to a stop. I watched him for a few seconds and when he struggled to get up again I sent a final one on the way to finish him off. It took a little while to make my way over to him but when I reached my ram I was elated. He was everything I could have hoped for and a perfect end to a great hunt.

What really sealed it for me on this sheep was his body size. He was easily the biggest bodied sheep i had seen so I figured his horns should be even more impressive than they actually looked. I backed out of the area and watched him till dark, knowing I'd find him close the next morning. After a night of wondering whether I should punch my tag for this ram I was back behind the glass at first light. Sure enough, as soon as I could see there they were. I grabbed the rifle and off we went. After making a big circle I started up the canyon just below the sheep and immediately ran into another mature ram. When I saw him I almost had second thoughts about which to shoot, but in the end it was a good decision to pursue the one I had started after. I kept going up the canyon and ran into a group of ewes and lambs that were right in the bottom of the canyon. They were only 100 yards away and hadn't seen me yet so my shot would have to be from here, 543 yards.

Finally on the afternoon before the hunt I found a group of sheep a couple miles away with some rams in the group. I moved in closer for a better look and found nothing suitable in the group. Until I looked a few hundred yards left of the main bunch.

Sorry guys I was just reminded that I did not complete the story and post photos of the rest of the hunt. I made a couple more scouting trips without finding the ram I wanted to hang my tag on.
