1 pointShot this guy on opening morning. Spent a few days scouting before my hunt to find some elk to get into and i found a few. Spent most my time scout for wifes 3a3c tag. Opening mor ing I Come up a small hill to look in a meadow and across it i see this guy chasing a cow all over. One cow call and the cow heard it and came running and the bull was right behind. They came into 20 yards searching and after a few seconds of not seeing anything turned to walk away and I stopped him at 40 yards and shot him. He ran 50 yards and died. Shot him with a rage. I know people give that broadhead a bad review but they have never let me down and always leave huge holes.. been up in 3a3c with the wife ever sense trying to fill her tag. Seen plenty of bulls and have had a opportunity everyday and passed on a ton of bulls. Last night she missed. this morning put an arrow over the back of one. Hope it pans out she is getting discouraged. sorry for the sideways pics from on the phone in the woods. I am happy i could send it.

1 pointSo my son has a cow elk tag and a buddyâs son has the deer tag for the youth 23 hunt. Weâll be at the ADA camp and supporting them if any of yâall are up there for those tags or need a hand with anything. Good luck to all the youth hunters coming up! We are heading up scouting again tomorrow after school, and Iâll try to post some pics if I remember to take some. He was lucky enough to tag out on this hunt last year and Canât wait to give it a go again!

1 pointThe back story: I bought this as a bare bow back in 2018 as my new build. Injured shoulder two days after bow arrived. Bow sat in case for 2.5 years as I worked through pain, therapy, etc. Cleared to go back to shooting six months ago. Added my equipment and then took it down to Corner Archery where new cables, strings were added along with a complete tune. I shot approx. 40 arrows through this new set up before re-injuring my shoulder six months ago. After x-rays, MRI, physical therapy and a second opinion - doctor has told me I am through pulling a bow string back. Sometimes life just sucks. Price is $675. Included with the sale: 1) Mathews Monster Chill-R right hand bow in Lost Camo. Draw Length: 28.5" (changed out 27" module) with 80% let-off. Axel to Axel: 33". Brace Height: 6.25". Weight: 4 lbs (bare bow). Draw Weight: 60-70 pounds. IBO rating: 342 fps. 2) Rest: Mathews QAD fall-away (original to bow) 3) Quiver: TightSpot 5 arrow quiver with quick release. Brand new - never held any arrows. 4) Stabilizer: Apache 5" 5) Arrows: Five VAP Gamer .116" micro carbon practice arrows. One fletching has small tear, otherwise very good condition. See below for more specs. 6) Other: Simms Limb Saver Dampeners and Braided camo wrist band, 7) Plano hard case. NOT INCLUDED IN SALE (but can be bought by buyer under separate agreement): 1) Garmin XERO A1i laser rangefinder sight. This unit is new. It has been mounted on bow, but never calibrated or used for shooting. 2) Six new VAP Victory Gamer .166 micro carbon arrows with outserts to accommodate the standard 5/16" broadheads/points.. These were saved to be used as my hunting arrows for the above set-up. The arrows measure 30.5" in length and weigh 412 grains (including 125 gr. point). Substantial FOC. The arrows have Blazer vanes and have 350 spine. 3) Keeton Spot Hogg release.

1 pointStanley, thank your girlfriend for all the hardwork she puts in and all the stress, my wife used to work for Honorhealth, not a nurse but new a lot of them and she heard lots of stories about this nightmare of people sick of covid and dying alone because nobody could see them, on the other hand my friend is doing better still on dialysis but they moved him to a rehab facility, they said it will be a least a few weeks, his wife said that the doctors and nurses didn't think he was going to make it and that he is the first patient in that hospital that surivived after 19 day on a vent, i could not exprees all the gratitude to all of you guys that prayed for him. Thank you and godbless.

1 pointYea, you know it's hard being BP when the dumbass president criticizes the agency based on completely wrong information. Gotta hang in there and hope it eventually gets better.

1 pointBased on todayâs commission meeting it seems that mandatory reporting is gaining some traction.

1 pointRut was good. Probably the best opening weekend in the years I have been hunting there. There wasnât a day we didnât get within 100 yards of a bull. We filled 3 of 4 tags, a 270 5x5, 310 6x6, and a 330 6x7. Bases were 9â on the 310 and 10â on the 330. It was a good year.

1 pointWell after 10 days of huntin my a$$ off and putting in 70 + miles hiking up a1 almost every morning and wing mt. I finally got it done! Not the biggest bull but Iâm not complaining itâll def feel the freezer!! Had a dozen plus encounters but never could get a clean shot off saw some dandy bulls! 2 nights ago I where I ended up shooting this spike I saw the biggest bull Iâve ever seen a huge 7x7 with about 12 cows. I got in on them and was about 30 yds from the cows and the bull was up about another 20-40 yards perfectly broadside but it was about 640 and just perfect to where I wasnât able to get him ranged and didnât want to guess. It took a lot to make the more ethical choice and pass for the fear of wounding it and not recovering. last night went back looking for him and saw this guy bedded up snuck in as quietly as possible and got to about 40 yard and he was bedded in a triangle of trees so I didnât have a good shot he heard me or saw me and got up walked out a little to a clearing at 37 yds so I drew back behind the tree I was standing behind waiting for him to walk out⊠he wasnât walking head I held back for a good 45 second to a minute and a half and said screw it and side stepped Twice to the edge of the tree and let it fly. It was perfect height just a hair lower than mid body but come to find out I was right and hit the jugular vane. Sat and watched it spit up tons of blood the bedded and got up again barely walked 50 yds over a ridge and heard it crash! Super stoked on my first archery elk 11m is a tough tag thereâs lots of elk but theyâre def call shy except on A1 pretty awesome getting my father in law into a bugle fest and the experience of hunting elk in September. Theyâre truly a majestic animal and Iâm thankful to get to chase em

1 pointSorry just saw this. Bugling has been very very sparse, mostly early morning contact bugles, but not much else. I was able to get this guy yesterday morning cow calling, which called another cow in to me that he was chasing.

1 pointSheds from 37B probably 25 years ago. The unit had buckets of deer back then but I suppose most of the state did back in the mid nineties
