Best trip out of 28 to Alaska was the Nushagak. 121 kings in one day for four of us. Last year the Nush let the commercial start 3 days early and only 20 for 3 of us in 3 days. Next year we are doing Sitka for 6 days. I leave for Oregon 9/1 for a few days of chinook fishing with old friends. I love Sitka for the beauty and it is a great fishery for kings, halibut and huge ling cod so looking forward to that one. At 72 I need to cram in every salmon trip I can before the reaper comes for me. Glad you had a great trip.

The call I've been waiting for came in recently. I've officially accepted a new position and promotion within my agency! I'll be a Regional Office employee, teleworking permanently from Flagstaff. I start my new position the week of October 10th. And I passed my monthly stripe screen last night at TKD, so I'm one step closer to my black belt test in October!

My days with a Bow are done. Will be 65 3 weeks from today. I am a lefty and had my whole left shoulder rebuilt 7 years ago. Haven't even tried a bow cause I don't wanna blow it out again. now my right shoulder is giving me the same problems. Am even afraid to try golf! Time next year for Crossbow. I have no hunts this year ,thats good. I Spent so much Money on trips around the country in the last 10 months it drained me. But I had fun . Been gone over 100 days in that time period. Thats what retirement should be. Just had a Great Buddy pass 2 weeks ago at 65. I wanna do things while I can still enjoy it. You can sit home when You get old!
