It really doesn’t matter how much energy you have if you shoot an animal in the butt or above the vitals. There really isn’t any reason to choose KE over shot placement. This should be a short thread.

Here’s a unit 9 buck that I was able to just walk up on and video during a late rifle elk hunt a few years ago..he was so distracted by scraping that tree I stopped my truck and just walked within 5 yards of him.. No it wasn’t on the park but very close too it,

This is still a great bull. Remember some people even in Arizona will never kill a bull this big. I personally would rather kill a hard horned bull than velvet but with a year long tag and waiting to last minute i would kill in velvet.

I’m not handy out side of the garage, i I did about 35sq ft of a back splash a few months ago. 8 outlets. Lots of cutting and cracking. It was pretty easy including a mosaic over the sink and built two floating shelves. It come out great . Took about weekend.

I once talked to the guy in charge of the California Condor project at the Kaibab deer check station. I told him how we had a hard time getting lead free 25-06 ammo for my son's hunt. He told me if we ever draw again just get hold of him and he would get whatever we needed no matter the caliber. We used lead ammo but bagged all the intestines and everything after gutting it and dropping them off at check station. Sorry I didn't save the name of guy but you could probably call G&F and ask. He might be able to help you on your reloads. Good Luck

Your generous offer for delicious elk meat is appreciated. Elk burger is great and versatile. Switching it up and keeping things fresh is the challenge. It's like Arby's around here - we have the meats - looking for creative recipes Rotation of dishes using ground elk Meatloaf Shepard's Pie Green Chile Taco's Empanada's Tamales (Tamale Pie) haven't made actual tamales recently Sloppy Joes Salisbury steak SOS Mix with tube of beef chorizo and season up - best chorizo ever

I don't know the why's but I do know that lifting vs. drawing a bow are vastly different things. I can lift 65lbs but drawing a bow is a different deal. I can do it but suffer the consequences. I think the inability to put the repetition in at practice leads to ethical questions. If I can draw a bow and shoot at an animal, is that ethical if my injury prohibits practice? (After several draws I aggravate my neck injury. I experience pain radiating down my arm and lose sensation in my hand. I just can't ethically hunt with a bow right now. Many people find themselves in this situation which is why temporary crossbow permits are available. This is Peckl1's threat and I am not looking to hijack it or start a fight. Just saying that injuries and disabilities are not always readily apparent. Peckl1 was looking for a doc that could certify his disability. Plus 1 on chiropractor. And maybe he can get you moving a little better as well.

here is the mix RM 43 mix 2oz per gallon of water 2,4-D mix 1 oz per gallon A few drops of dish soap to act as a surfactant As you know the Glyphosate kills everything The 2,4-D Is a broadleaf herbicide The dish soap reduces the surface tension to allow it to spread over the leaves uniformly. to be clear We are talking 3 ounces of chemical per gallon in a backpack sprayer or whatever you’re using. Also Marker dye (if you choose to use it ) is messy stuff but it’s pretty helpful and seeing where you missed and keeping you from reapplying areas you’ve already done. As with any of these, they all work best if you mow or weed whack first. Because then the plants are struggling to heal and regrow in the drink that stuff down faster. I’m pretty sure that’s the technical explanation… Then give it two weeks and they’ll be dead as long as you remember there are 8 ounces in one cup Of course you can make it stronger but I believe they call that diminishing returns as chemical is not cheap. as an aside: The guy gave me that recipe 20 years ago also taught me how to trap gophers. My wife is counting her blessings that I never caught enough to make that coat I promised her.

Thanks for that. Randy is exploiting for $ a public resource for large sums of money, as a NR, and reducing hunter opportunity at the same time. He's a fraud, and a wolf in sheep's clothing. Just like BHA. And AZGFD is complicit. And it sounds like it's coming to a state near you. Just like liberals. Beware.

I’d suggest maybe going just a little further south, maybe 70-75 miles from Tucson. A lot less pressure.
