Dang it sucks it went this long with no one even knowing. I feel bad, poor guy. I did have an inclination to shoot him a text to check in on him and totally forgot. I'm glad to have had a chance to meet him in person and get on a tuna boat with him. Rest in peace Lee.

These sockeye salmon gave one heck of a fight! Using a little hook with yarn to "floss 'em" was kinda hard but productive. I lost a few by lifting their head out of the water. So used to going 12 O clock with the rod tip on the take it took a minute to train myself to put pressure on the fish at 3 O clock or horizontal. My wife was a natural. She put the first fish on the stringer and had her limit first. Very proud of her. Best part yet is she is totally addicted now, so more trips to come for me, lol!

This lady right here showed me and her Dad how it was done. The beer I was drinking was a Kenai Brewing Grateful Red, local red beer perfect for catching "red" salmon. The whole trip was just unreal and so much fun! If you guys are ever looking for a guide on the Kenai, Jason Lesmeister is a bad butt! He is professional, competitive, fun to fish and talk smack with, had great gear, and got us tuned up in no time flat!

This 6x6 bull was hanging by the roadside in GCNP yesterday. Such a poser for all the tourons. Wonder if he will make it out into unit 9 to chase the ladies.

I'm back in Yuma now. It was one of the best vacations I have ever been on, and I have had some great trips! I know where I will be spending about a month a year when I retire, that's for sure!

Fished willow springs. 30ish fish today. Mostly trout. Biggest 14”.

Well in heber for a days. Decided to take the boat and try a different lake everyday. First up fools hallow. Water came up 15 ft locals said in two days so expected fishing to suck. 3 total in 4 hrs and we got this pig. big walleye. About 30” and 15 lb. first one ever on the boat. Fight good. tomorrow will be willow. Heard fishing has been great but who knows with the lake level changes also.

I can remember 2 different ones. The original and the ultimate. The ultimate being their long range one. I have the ultimate. I'm probably going to rebarrel mine in .45, I keep reading about the silly distances, groups and kills people are getting.

Lee was a good dude. While back I posted about needing some protein for a rescue dog. He basically emptied out his freezer of fish and it really helped to turn that dog around. Lee was a good guy.

No secrets. I dont know the lake at all. Just graphed up some fish 10-20 ft and used night crawler on drop shot. That worked for us. Tried rooster-tails at first for an hour and nada.

Got it handled. Looking for a cross bow. Anybody looking to by a compound bow?
