Don’t care. They have good gear. I backpack more than I hunt. It’s the only place you can find a pair of Altra Lone Peak 5’s in stock, which I just bought I bet you guys are real fun at parties! A simple thread letting people know a Sportsman’s is opening turns into a b1tch fest. Toxic place

Great article. Nice to see a write-up that shines light on this ban for what is vs what the commission wants you to believe or what you see/hear from people uninformed on the situation. Was clearly from the start a personal agenda of Kurt and Todd's and the stunts pulled to make it happen are frankly laughable. I was curious what the final tally was regarding the last public comment period. Surprised to see it was 1,019 opposed to a mere 71 in support!

Here's a thumbs up for Sportsmans, the one off I-17 in particular.

I didn't realize anyone that supported hunting, fishing and firearms shopped at REI. I know the Sierra club (One of REI's larger contributions/grant partners) has done somewhat of an 180 on their support of some hunting and fishing over the last few years but still not a group I would say is supportive. I can see using them as a catalog store though...

Not a strip guide and get out more than once a year hunter here.. I think you should be able to use cameras all year long as long as you don't leave them on public land. Do what u want on private land , bait, fly a drone, helicopters, lion piss on tanks to direct your giant buck to your favorite spot, high fence Texas style, whatever floats your coin on your private land.

Trail Cameras are used by much more than just hunters. But unfortunately he is right. For some reason, some people feel like they are judge, jury, and executioner and will take this matter into their own hands, which is illegal.

How do you know the cameras are there to “aid in the take of wildlife”. Maybe they are simply a birdwatchers camera? Or a high school students science project? Or perhaps a rancher is doing research on wildlife usage? I wouldn’t recommend vandalizing something that doesn’t belong to you.

Accidentally went to the bar and that crap was on. Left with .8 left to make sure the other locals knew I didn’t give a shoot.

Call the game and fish, the lady's up there are awesome they'll let you know about applying for tresspass permits, public land access, and anything else you need. Very user friendly unlike other states I live in I mean out there.

The last rabbit I cooked was at survival school while I was in the Air Force, in 1995. Boiled in a number 10 can, no salt, seasoning or anything. I remember thinking it was the best thing I had ever tasted. There was a couple of squirrels boiling in there at the same time, so maybe that was the trick.
