The New Lo-An just called in with a report from their 1.5 day trip. They have caught 11 Bluefin Tuna (mixed sizes with the largest at 200lbs) and 1 Albacore (25lbs...No that is not a typo).

Campsite view for the week. Watching whitetails wading in the edge of the water. I think I’ve seen more deer off the side of the road in 2 days than I see all season in AZ. My CWT handle is a clue of at least the state…LoL

The forest is closed, so there won't be much camping around. IMO, they mismanaged this for a long time. It takes all day to make it through one course, the prices have ballooned. It's just not the same as it used to be. I shot the 3-D course at Sunrise every year before I had kids and while they were growing up. I've seen it go from one of my favorite gatherings to something I'd just as soon avoid.

I've been teaching general and special education for almost 15 years. Majority of funds that are supposed to go to education (classrooms, students, etc..) ends up going to those who are in the administration part of education.

Is prop. 123 the one where az residents voted that it was OK for az to sell state land in order to fund education while our treasurer was screaming, we don't need this, there's plenty of money in the general fund for education. And that state land should be reserved and used as an income for education?

I use a helical and a tall blazer style. It sounds like a flock of quail going down the lane Loud , yes. But flies straight even in wind. Doesn't matter what head I put on it either. I have never seen an animal jump or move because of the sound of my arrow though. Maybe I wouldn't miss as much if they did move just a little...

I went to a lower profile Heat vane last year. Definitely helped on the sound but I felt like the blazer helped maintain better arrow flight. Heat vanes might've done better had I tried a 4 fletch, but I shoot a whisker bisquit so that would have been a pain. But as you have pointed out, I also think it is the arrow noise that causes the deer to jump. The snap of the bow gets the deer's attention but the hissing of an arrow makes them go ninja.
