Here's a couple from last week from Hawley thanks to some tips from another member.

Just a couple fish I hooked into lately...

A mandatory wait would definitely help. I wish they’d go 10 years of applying for bighorn and rifle antelope before you are considered for the draw.

Well it's that time of year again. If you're anything like me you spend most of your time thinking about the up coming draw. Looking over old pics and videos reliving past hunts. Staying up searching for new potential honey holes on Google Earth. Trying to figure out where to put in for ect ect.... I love it! It's also that time of year when I like to make youtube videos and share them with my fellow coues nuts on CW.COM. I just finished putting together a video of my cousin's 2020 Dec hunt where he got his biggest buck to date this beautiful 4x5. The hunt started off slow with us being fogged in most of the morning. It wasn't until around 10am the fog would finally start lifting. Shortly after the fog clearing we found his buck about a mile out feeding with another buck. We watch him for awhile trying to figure out if he was a opening day shooter or not. To be honest I was hoping my cousin wouldn't want to go after him not because I didn't think he was a good buck but because I didn't want to be done hunting so early. After about an hour the bucks ended up dropping down in a small canyon out of sight. Not knowing exactly where they went we knew our chances of relocating the buck was not very good but we still decided to go after him. So we packed up and a couple hours later we found ourselves overlooking the canyon where we last saw the buck. We spent the next 3 hours taking apart the canyon with little luck. Only finding 4 or 5 does and one small buck. We did glass up a 4 point shed which we later found out was from this buck which was pretty cool. Anyways just when I thought we weren't going to relocate the buck Dallas turned him up across the canyon at about 300 yards and the rest is history. The guy's name is Noel Vandiver. He is in Holtville, Ca. The name of his company is Ironwood Taxidermy. He does excellent work and the turn around is the best I've ever heard of. I took another buck to him mid December and had it back by March 17. The attached photos are my buck from this year.

Got 2 guys from Detroit Lakes Min.That are taking Me to the Big Horns up on the Montana Border west of Sheridan . They know it and are taking me for useing a couple of My points. Not bad gig for me at 65 ,Younger Guys helping me out and Free tag.We will see how it works out! I could of done unit 7 solo but everything is on Private and a zillion tags. I wasn't paying 8-9 K for a 330 Bull!, Allready have a couple of them..........BOB!

I've stated several times. Waiting period, let them buy BP'S LIKE EXTRA CASH FOR G&F Still sell all tags and guys build bp's. So when they are eligible, shouldn't be as long a wait Do it for all species!

Where are you located? How many per box?

I don't think it will ever happen, but if they had some type of a scale based on age first and then amount of points they could have a complicated and possibly sliding scale that could help older applicants. They could also set aside some premium tags for applicants over a certain age and in my opinion also with at least 10 bonus points. Obviously, no putting somebody else on the application without the same qualifications. That would definitely help the aging hunters that have waited and built bonus points. I do think the 3-year waiting period could also help just a little bit, and we all know every little bit helps.

I think what he is trying to say.... correct me if I am wrong .... is if we didn't have bonus points at all, we all would get one raffle ticket apposed to some people having 10 raffle tickets in the same pot ... therefore it would be completely random and same odds every year for each person. No dog in this fight ... fyi

There’s some good bulls in the bighorns from what I’ve heard! Good luck. Having someone with know how is worth the points! I worked in Detroit lakes my first year out of school, couldn’t wait to get out of there!! You think ND is cold and gray in the winter, try spending a winter in MN!!!

I cashed in 11 Elk points in Wyoming this year. Was in no mans land and will be 65 I wasn't waiting any longer to get nowhere!

Thank for the responses. I tipped my guy because I took the deer to him in December and he had it back to me by March and only charged $475. I felt wrong not to tip him. This was the buck. I have another buck there this year and didn't know if I should be tipping or not. Thanks for the reply.

I wouldn't say "better than anyone". But I don't count anymore............ as I'm retired 😊
