18 long years have finally culminated in a premium 23n early tag... With this being a one and done, I want to hire a great outfitter and have one in mind but wanted to hear what other opinions are... Not really into a big production and all the brand pushing, marketing, etc... Being 57 and having legs that are a little bit on the slow side, I need someone who will accommodate me and put up with my limited range of maybe a few miles per day, more if it's flat walking. And input would help and be great!

My uncle and I drew tags on the Navajo Nation. I made a video and posted it on youtube. Don't judge because its my first video ever!

Do I have the right to go build a house in the forest? Do I have the right to cut down all the trees for firewood? No. Rights don't mean we get to do whatever we please, whenever we want, wherever we want. Now you'll say well those things aren't "allowed". The reason they aren't "allowed" is because there were laws put in place to stop it from happening. The same way there will soon be a law regarding trail cameras.

UPDATE 4-20-21 2020 fall deer aging came out today and with my deers harvest for this year we expected him to be 5-6. To our suprise he was a whopping 8 years old! Freaking insane. Explains why his teeth were just falling out. Literally! But here is another pic of him I just got back! Hopefully soon I'll get my taxidermy back. I think itll come around September-December! Which is coming super quick! Super excited!

Lol... I honestly don't know what average hunters do anymore. I've been obsessed with hunting for way too long. As far as the pressure of college kids goes, I think there will be more pressure during the hunts than there is now and less preseason pressure than there is now... if there is a ban. If I was having a kid preseason scout for me, he would get explicit instructions not to push or bump the deer. Hang back and watch from a distance. Honestly though... in the end it's probably a wash. Again... it will effect outfitters but I can promise you it won't hurt them. A big adjustment for sure but it wouldn't take long. It will be another wash at best. I personally think it will help outfitters. Actually I know it will. We've gone back and forth at length so you already know that in the end... I don't care either way. This is all came about because of a handful of outfitters in a few units. Nobody can argue that. The funny thing is and the reason I take issue with all this is because the guys that caused all this will be hurt the least by it. I sure do appreciate the civil discussion man. I could disagree with a guy like you all day long... 😂😂😂. Seriously though... thanks for not getting stupid and making it personal.

My dad and I raised whitetails when I was growing up. It was really fun and I learned a ton about deer in those years. Our end market was shooting farms, we didn’t allow it in our place but that’s where they ended up. I don’t hold anything against people that make their living that way or people that want to do that for fun. I shot a red stag in NZ and it was on a high fence (all the stag hunts are if they’re anything bigger then a raghorn, if anyone tells you different they’re full of it) it wasn’t my cup of tea and I won’t do it again, but that’s my opinion only. A lot of the other guys hunting there were amazed by all of the game and had the time of their life. That’s their choice and their experience and that’s none of my business to get involved in.

Best thing to do is drive up, get a hotel there in Eagar at the Best Western. Drive and hike the unit. If you don’t find a place to camp and don’t see Elk well your doing something wrong. Just come up with plan A B C and D.

If you’re serious about a guide and have some money, hire az ground pounders. They consistently kill the biggest bulls out of 23. I wouldn’t let A3 guide me if it was free

Jed with A3 is the best Rez guide there is, I'd give him a call.

AZ ground pounders has turned up some monsters in there (but I’m not sure in the N/S split). Congrats on an amazing tag
