5 pointsI got a 26" 1:9.4" .338 Proof Research Sendero CF barrel in a package deal. One of my buddies was going to buy it but his wife neutered him this weekend, so it is up for sale. I am selling for what it was worth in the package deal. $650 FTF. Would rather sell locally.

3 pointsJust figured I would give you guys a heads up if you have alum wire in your older houses, you might want to look at changing your 220 volt stuff over to Copper. over the years alum deteriorates via the heat and the heat from the amps causing it to get weak, when it gets weak it , and or connections loose up it over AMPS and Poof up in flames. our house we bought in 1982. 2nd time in 2-3 years, Luckly NO damage other than wires burnt to a crisp and some burn marks on drywall and some wood. Once A year I always made sure of the wires being tight in the Breakers. but never checked any other connections like wire nuts on the water heater connections or other appliances. Also if you have a alum wire burn at a connection replace the whole wire from where it starts at the BOX not cut off a foot cause the damage is already done to the wire. I ended up putting all the Garage 220 stuff on a separate sub panel (in the garage) then conduit to the dryer and Water heater today. Next couple of weeks A/c and Stove but those will be a little more labor intensive.

3 pointsI'm sure folks did that. But oh man, if the only way to get folks to be "considerate" is a government mandate, I'll suffer through the lack thereof. With that said- people are extreme on both ends of it. If a business says "no shirt, no shoes, no service"- I comply. Same with masks. However, I don't wear one on the hiking trail when passing somebody is a 10 second adventure. Folks who scream "your killing me" when they see someone without a mask are just as nuts and folks who scream "I don't have to wear one" when a business requires it. I just wish people would chill a bit, make some reasonable decisions, and not get all weirded out when someone has a slightly different take on things.

3 pointsFellow outdoorsmen/women, I would first like to express my condolences to any who may have lost someone to this virus and for those that continue to deal with challenges from it. I pray for your endurance and speedy recovery. Despite all the varied opinions on best prevention, rights, and other nonsense the one thing that is certain is this has taken its toll physically, psychologically, and emotionally on people especially our young ones and elderly. We can't control alot of things but what we all can do is treat each other with dignity and respect. We never know what it took for that other person just to get out of bed each day. Give people the benefit of the doubt. Let go of old grudges. Tell our family everyday that we love them. Teach our kids to do good deeds for our elderly community. Be humble enough to allow ourselves to be wronged for the sake of peace. Stay safe and shoot straight, Mark

2 pointsI dont consider myself patronizing . Actually the opposite. I think schools should be opened up, and kids and teachers should be going back to the work place and lockdowns are b. s. However, I feel that if something as simple and as insignificant as wearing a mask in a public place ( and no, I am not a fan of wearing masks) can remotely slow down the spread and prevent more people from contracting COVID and possibly having long term damage, then why not? Until more of the population gets vaccinated, it can only help. I merely stated that Deuceys proclamation made a lot of people think they could do whatever they choose to. And I do feel that people who choose to go into markets or business that request mask usage without one are being inconsiderate of those who are concerned with their own safety. Even after my vaccination is supposed to be at full protection, I will still wear a mask in public buildings out of respect for others. It's not that big a deal to me.

2 pointsYour patronizing attitude is one of the problems, those holier than thou attitudes that no one cares as much as I do are causing a huge increase in domestic abuse/violence, increase in teen and young adult suicides' and depression.

1 pointI do not like the hysteria around it, or the stripping of rights or all the mask BS. If you're gonna get it, you're gonna get it. The only way to try to protect yourself is complete isolation. That being said, it is a real virus. It did not hit me that hard but I knew I was sick and I knew it was not the flu or anything I've had before. it hit me for a couple days, then i started to feel better then it hammered me pretty hard on about day 5 or 6. After that I recovered pretty quickly. It might just be my own brain but I still don't feel as good as I did before I got it and that was 4 months ago. I wouldn't say I feel sick or anything, just off. Does anyone else just kinda feel "off" since you recovered? foggy, lethargic, bouts of nausea?

1 pointWas in 3a3c Friday checking out new areas and threw out some hen calls and no gobble but got a hen to respond and she brought in the whole flock with three toms. I would take that as they are just getting ready to break away and start seeing some solo birds.

1 pointGo out now and look for sheds. https://www.azgfd.com/hunting/units/mesa/22/ Elk Overview: Elk numbers in Unit 22 are stable, with a bull/cow ratio hovering around 35 bulls: 100 cows. Generally, good populations of elk exist throughout the northern portions of Unit 22. Unit 22 has been split into two subunits, 22 North and 22 South to better direct elk hunting pressure to areas where elk need to be harvested (see hunting regulations for a full description of subunit boundaries). Unit 22 North is basically the area north of Payson, and it holds the majority of the elk in the Unit. Elk in 22 South generally occur in lower densities compared to 22 North, but nevertheless, elk numbers were expanding in 22 South and few hunters were taking advantage of these elk, so the 22 South hunt unit was created for force hunters to harvest some of these elk. The early 22 North and 22 South hunts occur in warm to hot daytime temperatures, so be prepared to get the meat cooled quickly. For all the hunts (firearms and archery), hunter success will increase with time spent glassing. Unit 22 exists entirely below the Mogollon Rim. Annually, elk from Units 5A, 6A, and 4A migrate into northern Unit 22 when feed in the other Units dries out, or when the snow gets deep enough to make them move. The peak of the winter movement depends on weather to a large degree, but generally occurs by late November of each year. With the increase of elk in the winter months, hunters will also face the inclement weather that pushes the elk off the rim. A 4-wheel-drive vehicle will be required if the weather turns to rain or snow. Temperature will average a daily high in the 40s to a low in the 20s. Late archery hunt success is closely related to the late October and early November temperatures. If rainfall patterns are normal, hunting around tanks from a tree stand will produce good success. It will still be warm enough each day that elk will water in the morning or evening. The September archery hunt success will be higher. Areas: The areas around and in the fire scars under the Mogollon Rim is an excellent place to hunt for all the hunts. Areas inside the burns with standing sections of live trees will hold elk in larger numbers. The burn areas are now in various stages of forage regeneration with some of the older scars being very thick. Good numbers of elk can be found within the burn areas, especially during the later hunts. The Mogollon Rim is a magnet to elk during the late hunts because of the extensive browse that is found along its expanse. There are numerous roads that will take you under the Rim off the Control Road. Take any of these roads during the late hunt and pick a good spot to glass. More than likely you can find elk feeding on or just below the Rim itself. Take a pack frame with you if you hunt in this area because there are a lot of logs that have blown down since the fire and dragging a downed elk or driving to a downed elk is nearly impossible. Hardscrabble Mesa (northwest corner of Unit 22) and the northern end of the Mazatzal Wilderness can be good depending on water availability. The early hunt in Unit 22 South has several good places to check out including Round Valley northeast to the Lion Springs area, and the area around Little Green Valley. The areas west of Rye in the foothills of the Mazatzals is also productive. For cow elk hunting in Unit 22 South, look South of the Payson Municipal Golf Club on National Forest land and in the foothills of the Mazatzals west of Rye. The Payson Municipal Golf Course can be found by going east on Main Street in Payson off the Beeline Hwy. There is access to the National Forest directly south of the golf clubhouse. Just be aware that it is illegal to fire a gun while taking wildlife within a quarter mile of any occupied building. That means both you and your target must be more than ¼ mile from any homes in the area. Do a thorough job of scouting the area prior to the hunt to be sure you are familiar with private and public land boundaries as well as the locations of all the homes.

1 pointI apologize to whom ever I switched Midway USA shooting mats with! I just noticed this morning when the sun heated up the rubber. I had removed the rubber from mine. We can trade back at the next shoot.

1 pointIf you’re serious about a guide and have some money, hire az ground pounders. They consistently kill the biggest bulls out of 23. I wouldn’t let A3 guide me if it was free
