If I were king, I'd get rid of bogus points and have one app, one chance. Even the field for all. Since there are soooo many people trying for such limited tags, if you get drawn, you sit out the next year. Ok, start with the insults, lol.

Why do new hunters need/deserve high value hunts?

I think it’s over. If you haven’t been hit by now I doubt you will.

Lifers crying about how many points they have and newbies crying about how hard it is to draw premium hunts. Meanwhile un picky hunters draw late rifle bull hunts every other year. Realizing your strategy sucks must hurt but there’s no shame in rethinking it.

People with max points should get a tag over a 12 year old. New Mexico has the best youth opportunity anywhere. Maybe Arizona cry babies should put in for New Mexico

if its important that kids get the high value tags, they already allow parents to pass down tags.

“Already tough enough.....” the guy with 20 BP for antelope and the guy with 2 BP basically have the same chance of drawing if they apply for the same hunt. I know it’s an unpopular opinion among a lot of hunters, but the guy with 20 point should have a more weighted advantage in drawing that tag...just my opinion.

No thanks. It’s already tough enough for for a new hunter to ever have a shot at these high value hunts. Why would we want to make it more difficult for them? I’m not for making rules to further tilt the scales for old dudes who already have way more opportunity in their rear view that most kids will ever achieve in their lives.

Had a CC issue and didn't realize until Friday after G&F closed. Called Monday morning and was told that there was nothing that could be do since "the server" that manages CC updates has been turned off and no one has access to it at G&F. Silver lining I'll get a bonus point as pointed out by the lady that I talked to on the phone. No worries, my fault and figured since there were issues with the portal maybe I could still update. So I figure what the heck and contact Citibank and talk to them about my issue. They stated that "IF" G&F were to hit the CC that I had used and needed to be replaced they would send a text and or email to verify that I am ok with them charging the hit to the new card. If I don't get drawn was it because I was unlucky or the CC hit was denied and Citibank was wrong with their info. Guess only time will tell. Second silver lining.....My son, stationed in Alaska, was drawn for a fall (Oct-Nov) Kodiak Brown Bear tag in unit DB-216 so I'll be heading up there to help him with that. I should be an experience of a lifetime! Looking into guides its not cheap ($15-$25K) so we are doing a DIY hunt with some friends of his.
