Cheers to everyone that’s not on the gouge train, or panic buying and making things worse. Most everybody is acting like this has never happened before...

Two guys I was in the Army with, one is from Michigan, and leases his 500 acre farm to a hunter, and the other is from Minnesota, he said that this one weighed 260.

You can use FMJ for hunting as long as it has a lead core and not steal. As long as it can expand on impact. Lots of people do not understand this. Just a FYI.

You could but it would be a waste as the FMJS have a pretty thick jacket. In a .223 Remington they wont open up, but in a 22-250 or 220 swift they do kinda and sometimes vaporize the insides. That all being said every FMJ by different manufacturers have different thickness of copper jackets. just because you drill a hole in it or grind off the point wont make it expand. berger target bullets there hollow points have about the same thickness as the old FMJS if I recall, both go thru most of the time. yote still dies Its a Yote if you hit it in the head it will die quickly, if you hit it in the shoulder and heart same thing., gut shoot it like any other animals it will run off. ive killed main yotes using fmjs they blow a decent hole in them and die pretty quick some instantly. Ive hit them with nosler BT and had them need a 2nd shot or couldnt find them cause they ran off.

There were spotters, but some of the targets were elevated without a backstop. That's a good challenge to face, and takes skill to watch the trace to call the miss. Unfortunately, it takes a lot of time in the glass watching misses to learn it, lol.

The rig was recovered in S. Phx overnight. Thanks to those of you who had a bit of empathy for a fellow hunter.

If you visit some of the state hatcheries they have replicas of a lot of the state records. The current Brown trout record is from Reservation Lake and the holder is the manager of Tonto Creek Hatchery.

I have 6 rounds of hornady superformance if that tips the scale for you to buy it!

It’s nice to read about people buying quality. Typically I read about low end enthusiasm here like someone WTB a Savage or Mossberg MVP in the hopes they can get them for less than the $300 they go for new. Or someone is looking to buy a scope and are asking what garbage you are willing to sell. Hopefully in the future the rifle threads have more Cooper, Dakota, Nesika, Mcwhorter, Sako, Anschutz, Christensen etc. and fewer Tikka, Ruger and Savage.

I have a S&B a NF and I’m saving for a theta. I have several leupold, Nikon, and vortex, all have their purpose, but when you have “special eyes” the high end glass is noticeable!
