My brother Robert came back down to look for the Mulie buck we glassed up last weekend when I filled my Javelina tag. We decided to sit a water source we found. We got to our spot well before daylight and sat in the Ranger talking of hunts past. After getting my Barronett Ground Pounder blind set up he moved the Ranger back a couple hundred yards. We continued our talk of yesteryear for a little while as we both thought we would not see much in the early morning hours, we'll that didn't happen. I just started to film a woodpecker when he whispered, "deer....buck" and the heart started pounding. I filmed as he slowly walked in and started to get a drink. Roberts shot was off a little but with the Swhacker broadheads that few inches didn't matter the buck didn't make it 40 yards leaving a highway of blood. After taking care of his buck we decided to sit a while longer and see if another would grace us with his presence. A few hours later we spotted a Javelina on the ridge above coming in to get a drink. Suddenly he turns about face and Trott off. At that point we could hear two guys talking as if they were 20 yards apart walking down the two-track. After a few words with them they continue on. A little after noon we decide to head in and take care of his buck. Driving out we jump up a real nice 4x4, so I bail out and give chase. I got about 90 yards before he dropped into a wash and disappeared. All in all a great day. Robert and have just recently gotten back to hunting together and this day makes #9, we have been successful 7 of those 9 days bringing home Mule Deer, Coues Deer, and Javelina. Here is the video.

Why would anyone want to shoot a cub? Am I the only one thinking this...?

They look just like my hardscrabbles. Best boot I’ve ever worn. Wish I had the cash for these right now.

Congratulations. I had the same tag. I took a ewe with two days left to hunt. We were on Rams everyday. Missed one in the sleet and rain and then blew several other stalks. It was very difficult to get clean shots on the rams. Several opportunities never unfolded cause they were knotted up in the herd and always had one in front or behind it. They were a blast to hunt. I will be putting in again for sure..

Your referring to Community Theft that will be perpetuated by haters of Trail Cameras believing they have the right to steal based on an unenforceable law!

Thanks Lobo for putting this shoot on, it was nice to meet you, and Lance, since I've been reading both your posts on forums for many years. Nice meeting the rest of the guys too. Randy hit a rock the size of a pie plate at 1538Y with his 6.5-4s, so I have to brag on him a bit. I hit a few inches low but couldn't connect. Contact us late summer and we'll do a long range session here up in northern AZ.

Azdiamondheat helped me out. Might be able to look him up and send him a pm. Otherwise check out an app called Fiverr. It has a lot of freelancers on there. I had some work done way on the cheap like less than 40 bucks with multiple revisions...

Lots of fun and worth the drive from Southern AZ. Lots of cool toys and folks. I didn't get any pics either, but the shooting was a blast.

Had a blast. Didn't pull a trigger until about 10:00-10:30 when the fog finally lifted. All we could see was the 100 yard zero target. Once the fog burned off, the steel started ringing, from 431 to 1068. Even with the wind, the hits just kept coming. Good spotters and wind calls helped keep hit percentages high. Lots of glass and guns out there. I only got a few photos, was too busy spotting and shooting.

    1) The guys that hunt them all the time wont take you to their areas so you need to have your own picked out so they can take to your spots. 2) Repeat #1 3)Do you have gloves and a face mask? You can hunt in jeans and a camo shirt but you must cover your hands and face. Dont move abruptly on stand very slow movement, once you spot a coyote dont move while you can see its eyes let him slip behind cover before shouldering your firearm and turning your body. 4) Sit on a short stool/chair. This way you can sit on stand for 15 to 45 minutes. (Lions, bears, bobcats and smart old dogs) 5) Make sure to hide your truck. If the incoming predator sees your truck he will leave. 6) This one is more important then you might think, dont call to loud, start at a very low volume and after about 5 minutes you can turn it up a bit but they hear 10 times better then you think. Once you see an incoming predator turn off the caller it already knows right where you are (within 5/6 feet) even if he is still 300 yards away. If need to get his attention lip squeak, this will be necessary to stop him for a shot. Sometimes they will act like they dont see you and will circle you downwind, dont let him lip squeak to stop him but be ready to shoot. Have fun!

Day 4. Great faith in day 4. the Golden Child(T's daughter who has more luck than any 1 human being should have) showed up last night. Today will be good. Morning- right off we spot 1 ram and 3 ewes. of course they are on a sky island at 1600 yds. HARD pass. Afternoon- wind STILL SUCKS!!!!!! So maybe she's not all that goldden after all. We start heading back down the mountain. Over a little rise at teh bottom of the ridge and "STOP!" T yells there's barbary ram at that water hole! We BAIL out of the sxs (I grab my gun) and T is down off the side prone. I yell out 530yds and he says "on it!". Fires. HIT!(sort of) and off the dang thing runs... This time I don't just watch though. I shoot and mr barbary takes a flop. Jumps up and flops back and rolls off the hill a bit. I was certian I missed and the ram was down from T's shot. We gather everything up and head down. He calls me over to have a look and tells me we need to figure out who's ram it is. I said, "well it's yours". It was a no brainer. He saw it, he shot it first and it was his. He disagreed. We ran back through the shot sequence and he AND his daughter made a very persuasive argument that it was MY ram. The Ram was shot twice. Turns out T shot it in the lower front lip and busted its lower jaw and front lower teeth. T is actually a VERY good shot but just had a monkey on this trip for some reason. I had NEVER seen him miss before this trip. Based on how the second shot completely disabled him, they convinced me I should have the ram. I graciously accepted and quite honestly almost cried at his selflessness. Yes, my friend just GAVE me a 30 inch ram that he could have rightfully claimed and NOBODY would have been upset. This entire experience was amazing and truly a TEAM effort. easiest pack out EVER the team

As long as you don't post a kill and trail cam pic. Nothing wrong with posting trail cam pics and video. Lots of people enjoy them

my wife will be putting a lot of cams out this year...

Gunna be tough to prove they were hunting in a spot they had a camera. Running cameras will still be legal after this passes. Good luck knowing who's camera is who's and who is using that info for the take of game. Exactly why people smearing peanut butter or saying they will take cameras down is garbage. It could be Joe Wildlife Watcher 's camera from Scottsdale. Now if they post a trail cam picture they are are another level of dumb and deserve to be caught.
