Well it didn’t take long. First day out targeting a Coues buck and I got it done at about 3:30 in the afternoon. 60 yard shot and he was done quick! Definitely a great first archery Coues!

From Duwane: Brett Kelly @couesicrew and I chased this buck for several days with different clients. One client missed this buck which was an absolute heartbreak. As a guide you know this is a once in a lifetime type of buck. Brett kept on this buck for five days. He is a tremendous glasser and has developed the ability to dig out big bucks. It would be no different with this monster. He continued to hide in really thick cuts but Brett stayed with it. The fifth day of hunting this brute would be the day that everything would change. Brett walked client Ron Maguire @rrmaguire Into this buck at 32 yards and Ron hammered him! Ron has paid his dues. He’s been out here about 6 different times with the OTC hunts, sometimes guided and sometimes on his own. He booked with us for the first time and this couldn’t have happened for a better guy. Anyone that knows Ron knows he has put in the hard work to set himself up for a buck like this. This buck is a true desert giant. This buck has ton of character with inlines, kickers and mass. Just a flat out stud buck and we couldn’t be happier for Brett and Ron. Great job and congratulations to the both you guys.

Unlike horses, it's tough judging the age of hens by their teeth. Just start fresh with chicks.

Well got it done yesterday again like last year. I couldn’t pass on this one. Smacked him right at 27 yards quartering away and he didn’t run 50 yards. Scored him at around 110” and he’s a 2 point. Old deer too

I was lucky enough to win a governors tag in Wyoming for buffalo. I had already killed a nice bull years ago so I let my daughter Tessa have the tag. We only had till the end of January to fill it so we were starting to run out of time. I had hired Ralph Greene with Tag n drag he had been highly recommended turned out to be the right choice. After two days on horses and covering 20 plus miles we were able to find this bull. As usual Tessa took care of it from there . We got the bull out in one trip on a sled behind one of the horses . I hope I never have to get on a horse again

I spoke with Amanda in Kingman this AM. We got my boys added to my portal account. This is a HUGE help for me, glad they finally got it added. She said they are concerned about getting portal accounts updated in time for the draw. She asked me to share with any of my contacts that getting portals updated is critical to the draw. IF YOU CANT GET THROUGH ON THE MAIN NUMBER, CALL KINGMAN DIRECT. 928 692 7700

Funny the state can purge all this hunter info and start over but can't do the same with voter rolls.
