I have an old T. Barker 12 ga that I wouldn't mind selling to get something nicer. These were made from sometime in the 1890's - 1910's in Belgium. It has Damascus barrels, so its limited to shooting black powder loads. Some might say not to shoot it at all. One barrel has a very small dent that does not affect the pattern it throws. To go with it, I have 25 full length brass shells and I can also supply load data. Its pretty simple to load them up, you just pour in the black powder, over shot card, cushion wad, lead shot or bismuth, and over shot card. The only tool you need is a short wooden dowel rod to fit in the shell as a compactor. They have never needed resizing. You can get the cushion wads and cards from Ballistic Products or Dixie Gun works. I will take $300 for the double and shells.

So you guys probably endangered the hump backed, one eyed, yellow finned, hair lipped turtle fish that are native to our state! USFW will put a bounty on your goldfish and pay anglers to harvest and kill them like the Brown Trout at Lee’s Ferry! Save the native fish! #BTLM

Growing up as a kid we would put lots of gold fish in ponds, water tanks, spring, stock tanks and etc.

Per the hunt guidelines if more than 20% of the total annual harvest comes during archery the unit transitions to a draw unit. Because there is no cap on the number of OTC non-permits sold to non-residents, that means that a flood of successful non-residents can push a unit to a draw for archery. I believe we should be petitioning the commission to adjust the guidelines regarding NR archery deer permits. I would advocate a cap on the total number available for purchase, which could lead to problematic situations for a first come first serve buying scenario. Or requiring NR’s to apply for archery. But either way, my recommendation is that NR be required to choose between applying for a rifle hunt / building points and hunting the archery hunt.

According to the democrats, the 2016 election was stolen through Russian election meddling. They’ve literally been saying that for 4 years. My memory lasts longer than 5 minutes, so I also remember that Bush ‘stole the election’ from Gore in 2000, so NO, it’s not always the Democrats that cheat, according to democrats it’s always republicans that cheat. It really is like watching chimps in the ape house throw crap at each other. Very tiresome... in this particular election though, it’s hard to call it fair when the media was obviously shilling for one side and outright manipulating and censoring the other. Case in point : Hunter Biden scandal. It was undeniably squashed by all MSM and social media platforms, even jack dorsey admitted to Congress it was ‘a mistake’ for twitter to flag it as false information and take it down. Look it up, there’s a million videos of him getting grilled by Ted Cruz over it. polling done by Real Clear Politics after the election showed that 1:6 people that already voted for Biden say they would not have if they’d known about him and his sons ties to China. That would have reduced his votes by 17% and while trump would surely not have picked up all of those, he would’ve got some of them. this was not trump vs. Biden, Th is was Trump vs. everyone with a media presence

Stay north of I-10 and you should be good. The illegals are probably just waiting for the next president to be sworn in and then they can come across and be met with open arms.

I just love how the “new” calls this a violent protest, radical trump supporters, and trumps rhetoric caused all this. Then when folks “protest” when a dead beat gets shot by cops the media supports the riots! Same deal when a black guy is shot by the cops......”an unarmed black guy is shot by a white police office!” If it’s a white officer and a white assailant then “they” just report it as a police shooting!!

Reece was there for the entire conference, and I was fortunate to break bread with him at the same table for dinner one night. He was not only a great artist but also a fine gentleman. At the auction later that night, he personally handed me the framed print when I had the high bid.

Had a great weekend pig hunt, with my sons and close friends. While I was deer hunting, I was able to locate several beards of Javelina. Opening day was a little slow due to the wind and drop in temperature. My youngest son Gavin got one shot, but was just a little to low. Gavin had never taken an animal with his bow, and was a little bummed about the miss. Day two was much better weather, and we were able to glass up a heard. We were able to sneak in and Gavin shot low at 30 yards. I let out some loud calls on the coyote call, and he made a great follow up shot at 40 sealing the deal on his first archery animal. we made it back to the truck and moved to another area. Due to the weather warming up, we skinned Gavin’s pig to get him cooled down and on ice. As we were doing so, Gavin looked up and said “Dad pigs!”I looked over my shoulder and saw two. I ran back to the truck and woke up my other son Gage. Gage was able to grab his bow and after a short stalk, made a great 20 yard shot! I was able to grab my bow, and started after the second pig. About a quarter of a mile later I lost him. As I turned to head back to the boys, I saw another heard. 35 yards and my arrow found it’s mark! I couldn’t believe our luck! We headed back to meet up with our friends who were hunting a different canyon about three miles away, where we had seen another heard while deer hunting. We met up with Randy and Christian. We glassed for a little while, and turned up the heard. Randy and Christian were able to get to the pigs, and Randy made an awesome 42 yard shot. We went 4 out of 5, not a bad day!

My brother tagged his pig yesterday and decided to come down and give me a hand. Five minutes after I sit down to glass Robert wispers....pigs. the race was on! We needed to move quickly, they didn't want feed where they was. We had two ridges to circle around and climb a third just to re-aquire them. We found them because two started fighting over a Central plant. We backed off to circle around the point to come in below the saddle they was in. Robert stayed back as I cautiously creeped in the last 80 yards. By the time I got in close most of the pigs had moved up the opposite side. Two were still demolishing the Century plant, I ranged a big rock close to them, 32 yards....good! I just need to shift left to shoot through a small opening in a Occotillo. I drew back and the pig turned, facing away. I held back for what seemed like an hour (30 seconds) until he turned back, settled the pin and pulled the trigger....Swhack....crack! The pig stood there a few seconds then took off. Robert catches up and we start tracking. 20 yards past the where the pig was standing is my arrow that sliced right through an Occotillo. A little more tracking and 60 yards later....dead pig.

I think there’s more mature carp deer killed with bows every year than with rifles in the otc units

Are spikes breeding much if at all? If you shoot a spike your saving a big mature deer to breed more.

The wads went by the type of hulls your using as well. I did buckshot many many years ago for 12s and 20's picking out the correct wad for me was always a problem , so I usually called Dad. kinda Embarrassing cause I been shotgun loading since I was 7 and I still get confused on wad types. Dad had me use paper/cardboard wads with a buffer back in the 80's and 90's they patterned the best. I'll look as I may have a paper for different buck shot wad types powder charges and buffer type. I have some shotgun books buck back then didnt find much info on buckshot.. I am sure if you look on the net there is something.

The Rifle is a model 94 Winchester in 25/35. This was the first rifle that my grandfather bought and the only one he ever had. He bought the rifle in the Prescott area, this deer was also killed with this rifle in the Prescott area. Pretty cool to have both of them, I can only imagine the miles that were walked carrying this rifle. I even have some of the original boxes of ammo.
