Well got it done yesterday again like last year. I couldn’t pass on this one. Smacked him right at 27 yards quartering away and he didn’t run 50 yards. Scored him at around 110” and he’s a 2 point. Old deer too

My brother tagged his pig yesterday and decided to come down and give me a hand. Five minutes after I sit down to glass Robert wispers....pigs. the race was on! We needed to move quickly, they didn't want feed where they was. We had two ridges to circle around and climb a third just to re-aquire them. We found them because two started fighting over a Central plant. We backed off to circle around the point to come in below the saddle they was in. Robert stayed back as I cautiously creeped in the last 80 yards. By the time I got in close most of the pigs had moved up the opposite side. Two were still demolishing the Century plant, I ranged a big rock close to them, 32 yards....good! I just need to shift left to shoot through a small opening in a Occotillo. I drew back and the pig turned, facing away. I held back for what seemed like an hour (30 seconds) until he turned back, settled the pin and pulled the trigger....Swhack....crack! The pig stood there a few seconds then took off. Robert catches up and we start tracking. 20 yards past the where the pig was standing is my arrow that sliced right through an Occotillo. A little more tracking and 60 yards later....dead pig.

Spent the first few days getting skunked. Finally dug in and got further out there. One shot a piece with a 6.5 creedmoor at 590yards. First one dropped and the next walked out broad side, after impact it took one step then dropped in its tracks. The excitement that came afterwards is something I’ll never forget.

Surprised your brother hasn't shot it already and took pictures under power lines, and claimed it was in a "open" unit.😉

Tough muzzy hunt this year. Way different then my 2015 muzzy hunt but I was able to get my good bud on a decent buck. In over 10 days hunting hitting different units we only seen 5 bucks. All without does and 0 rut activity. Got this guy yesterday all by his lonesome. Not too bad for his first buck Good luck to the rest of muzzy hunters.

I’ve got a ruger 77-17 mach2 that I threaded for my suppressor. Love that little thing. It’s blown up many a grouse head in elk camp! Hope you can find one!

I also live in flag and actually ended up buying a brand new one with no miles because it was cheaper than a used one.

That’s the goal. I have 2 elk points. Do you guys think I will be lucky? I might have 15 years to find a box for a hunt. Just being proactive..

I've called in 4 lions. Normally they come in within the first 15-30 minutes. I typically will make a stand last 45-60 minutes just to be sure. Depends on how I'm feeling. I've had them come running in, roaring at the top of their lungs (that is super, super freaky) , come in behind me super stealthy and never see them. Really just depends but they will always be dead down wind. Always!!!! I can tell you from experience. I've seen lion tracks behind me after I'm done calling that are in my tracks walking in to set up the call............That is a bit freaky and it is good to look behind you. I've had them within 20-30 yards behind me and I didn't know they were there until I see their tracks inside of my tracks when I'm leaving.....

I called in this cat after glassing it up 1st. My son and I watched it until she left through a saddle. Then made a hike to get close. She came in after a few minutes but from behind us. I took this cat with a shotgun up close.
