Found these at Bass Pro this afternoon, don't really need them so I'll sell for what I have in them. Would prefer to sell to someone with kid(s), 1 box per family. I bought two boxes. FTF in South Chandler.

We are simply getting further away from fair chase-------period. Everything is fair game (pun) when it comes to gaining advantage---- I am all for some hunting aides, but come-on.... Complete ballistic calculation systems... 1400 yd rifles 500 yd muzz with scope---nothing primitive about that. 150 yd bow shots Buddy hunting is one thing, TEAM HUNTING is something totally different. I know....runnin off at the mouth..... Lets go with no cellular cams and maybe a season for cameras............like close it Aug 31-Dec 1.... Similar to Nevada

It always starts with the High price guides on the strip & the elk water assholes that need to produce for $$$ ruin it for average joe with a couple of cams

He would charge the going rate to other guides. Hate him or not the dude could get you a lion for sure.

Very difficult to stalk an animal that stalks other animals for a living. They are pros. Humans are armatures

My .02 is This is a great win (the first in a long time) for the animals, habitat and even many hunters. This was never a problem until the privilege of using trail cams became abused (mostly by guides). I would have voted for a season or ban either way, but if you want to be upset about it, be upset about with those that have abused it to make in an issue. Between the advancement in long rang shooting/wounding, Quads to UTVs getting to new and more places, Google Earth and like doing the same to equipment, clothing, optics and gear, the summer recreators opening up roads and loosing habitat to the 4-7 seasons on some units to 500+ yard muzzleloaders and people who have always hated or never shot a bow drawing archery tags and shooting these freaking air bows 150yards.... All been to the detriment of the animals and habitat. This one is a win for both. Rejoice!

Looked at your profile to see where you live, noticed you are kind of new to the forum so if no one else had welcomed you... Welcome to the forum! Also wondered because i was curious how far away you were. I know an area particularly lion rich the reason being a combined amount of factors. I would love to thin them out and bring the deer back. It would be about a 3 hour drive for you. My dream is a lion with a bow and ive been watching a lot of lion videos on youtube that got me thinking. Spot and stalk though.... its not necessarily impossible but most times a cat is glassed up (it seams) they are on the move making it dang near impossible. Yes it can happen, but i would not plan your success based on spot and stalk. Another member once told me calling in a lion has more to do with knowing a lion is already in the area, via sighting, trail cam or fresh tracks. Blindly calling obviosly would be less successful. Also watch youtube vids, one had a link to different lion sounds and sold calls that really piqued my interest. I'll try and find it and post a link. My first approach would be, calling with a good electronic call (good calls are expensive) like a foxpro. They do have lion sounds you can buy, as does the website i alluded to earlier. But! The key is Calling in an area you already know is lion rich, or you saw fresh tracks or have very recent cam footage. Second approach, driving roads as its snowing or just freshly snowed. Drive slow, look out the window looking for a track crossing the road. Some obvious saftey things to mention. This a back road practice, 4x4 is a must and pay attention to the road! But once youve found a fresh track you just increased your chances big time. Follow if you want for spot n stalk because this will likely be your best chance at true spot and stalk, or survey your surroundings and set up the call. At this point i will assume you know about wind direction, thermal currents and all that. Thats basically all i have to offer, but thats how i would approach it.

I see two results: 1. lack of competition in the guiding industry. This rule is going to hit the small/part-time guys and start ups way more than it will the big outfitters with full time staff. Trail cams are vital to guys that have to scout around full time jobs 2. We’ll probably see more younger bucks/bulls getting tagged, maybe even an uptick in overall success rates. It’s not that hard to pass on a 2 yo 3x3 buck or a little raghorn bull when you’ve got a bunch of pictures of bigger boys on your phone. Those smaller critters are a lot more tempting when you have no idea what else is around. if guides are really the problem, I don’t see why they can’t pass laws that specifically pertain to them. There’s a vast difference between a weekend/recreational hunter and someone that’s conducting commercial activities on public land and consuming public resources

I’m down in the 34s doing a last minute scout and am happy to see two bucks so far already moving with does. One was 100 yards away and was a slob. Please show up tomorrow... Good luck everyone!

A Trail Cam Ban is really the only thing that makes sense. If the AZGFD was to have a season, or a 1/4 mile rule they would still have to deal with the headache of people calling and complaining about the use of trail cams being too close to water, or cams that were left up after the season closed etc.. If there was a season guides and DIY hunters would still leave the cams up and it would be too difficult and time consuming to control. The AZGFD has decided to move forward with the complete ban of trail cameras, they're tired of guides placing 200+ cams on each units water source, the need to check a game cameras SD card during prime hunting hours which screws up other hunters, and the unfair advantage a game camera allows a hunter in pursuit of an animal. What it comes down to is Fair Chase, and sitting on a couch while your cameras do all the scouting for you 24/7 should never be considered Fair Chase.
