Spent the first few days getting skunked. Finally dug in and got further out there. One shot a piece with a 6.5 creedmoor at 590yards. First one dropped and the next walked out broad side, after impact it took one step then dropped in its tracks. The excitement that came afterwards is something I’ll never forget.

pretty cool. problem with youtube yote and hog killing is I click on the next one then the next one etc etc. 1-4 hours later I forget why I was on the pc in the 1st place.

Cameras on water or people sitting tanks paid by guides because trail cams are banned. there will always be either cameras or guides. Here is an idea, how about just banning guides? Sounds like this will eliminate 90% of all the camera issues. If trail cams are banned, guides will just hire enough people to sit all the water tanks and take pictures with their cell cameras. Unless G&F want to ban taking pictures with cell cams too? Now you will just have to deal with paid guides sitting every water hole in the unit.

My names Brandon and I have Been a member for a few months, Ed F referred me here to find a cape for my 2020 muley. Just got back from my first couse hunt in AZ. I had no expectations and just knew My buddy from Utah and I were going in blind. Awesome country and it blew my mind. I love glassin and this was the hunt for it. Hunted this buck hard for three days and was finally able to connect, spotted him the day before the opener and on opening day he was no where to be found, we new he should be In The area and stayed the course, on Saturday we spotted him in the same bench we found him a few days wait let and made the plan. Got to 1200 yards my buddy got his spotter out said he was bedded in the same location and after a back and forth on who was gonna go in( I was pushing him to go in and he was pushing me) I caved and went in. My buddy is a way more accomplished hunter then I am so he was happy to see me work in on this buck. popped up on the finger next to the bench he was on, ranged him at 196, cross haired him and waited for him to stand. Bout 15 mins later KAPOOOW, the 6.5 creed ate for the first time and he dropped in his bed. The boys got their elk on that youth hunt, But this is my first elk. 7E was a hard hunt for me. I found some water that both cows and bulls were hitting at various times of the day. Total bonus, considering most of these elk are nocturnal right now. So I decided to take a walk and find the best path from the waterhole and do some still hunting. Turns out the Lord guided me to a cow about a mile out And I took her down. Day 4 ends the hunt. Took her back to camp and got her deboned. Tomorrow is elk burgers. The family is really looking forward to it. This was a solo hunt for me,And I forgot how everything freezes when you leave camp. That was a pain in the butt. Looking forward to going home tomorrow.

Hopefully doing apps is gonna really be easier next time around. Long overdue. Hope this also gets us one step closer to family portals.

pretty sure that the people that oppose the tail cam ban the most (outfitters) have the money backing they need to lawyer up. Donating money for the cause will only put money in their pockets. A3 has a LOT of money behind them and probably the most at stake if the ban happens.

If your Dad is happy with it, do it. I had a guy questioning my ram, I shot it. Full curl. Tight, doesn’t score super, but by God I had a great hunt with good company. I look at that mount every night and smile. enjoy the hunt with your Dad. I miss mine, Been a few long years since we have hunted together.

I have an Election Day present arriving from Sportsman’s Guide today. I also saw that last night they had 9mm so next week I will have a little pick me up on the door step.

They probably kept a stockpile and waited until today to release it.
