Well after 10 Days I finally got it done. Shot him around 5:30 as he and 4 cows came into water. My brother in law also had the same tag (The unit with the most archery tags) unfortunately had to leave Sunday morning. Not the biggest bull I saw but, After hunting 14 days in 11m in 2018 and eating tag soup this bull will do.

I wanted to share something I thought some of you might find this interesting. Check out the cool color differences between these two bucks. The main difference that immediately stood out to me was the difference in velvet color then after watching the video a bit more I noticed the color differences in their fur as well. One buck is mostly grey while the other has quite a bit more color to him. He's got a reddish orange color on the back of his legs, tail and armpits. I never gave much thought to velvet color before but I must say I'm quite intrigued now after seeing this. I did a quick Google search but couldn't find anything on a bucks velvet color. I wonder if there's a correlation between velvet color and the color of a bucks fur? What have you guys noticed? Is this just a coincident?

I got this guy chasing cows on 9.11, had several pictures of him hounding the group of cows and him buggling in a couple shots. Only heard a few bugles that weekend, pretty slow due to Temps I believe.

Given my current condition with COPD, etc., I'm sure this will shock some of you, but I'd like you all to know that I volunteered for the vaccine trials for Covid-19, held here in the Glendale area. The vaccine was created in a Russian lab. I received my first shot today at 9:00 am, and it’s completely safe, with иo side effects whatsoeveя. I feelshκι χoρoshό я чувствую себя немного странно и я думаю, что вытащил ослиные уtr.

I had a Hunts For Heroes Hunt here at the farm this year for dove and had some great vets. 2 did not have shotguns for financial reasons and whatnot. I am looking for 2 pump or semi auto 20 or 12 gauges for sell to give to them as a present for their service. Let me know what y’all have please.

I’ll buy em I just wanted to see what’s on here first. The guys had an absolute blast shooting dove here. For 2 it was their first bird ever.

Really cool of you! If you cannot find 2 of them, maybe we can get enough guys to toss in some cash and buy them new shotguns.

I live in Star Valley, units 22S and 22N border me, but not far from 23 or 4a either. So I have this fridge that I use to store my elk and deer in until I can get to butchering them. That said its empty now and pretty warm out. Early rifle bull starts Friday. If you find yourself in a situation were you tag out early and have more tags in camp and arent going to use a local processor and want your meat stored just above freezing hit me up. I will do it for $25 a day and cap it at a max of a 100. So if you kill Friday and are planning to stay in camp with your buddy until next friday than its just a 100. I only have room for one elk. It will also need to be quartered and in game bags. Texting me is best and we can go from there. 6023178084.

Hello All, Just wanted to give Vortex a shout out and BIG thank you. I bought a pair of Kaibab 15x56 binos from a forum member about 18 months ago. They served me well until a few weeks ago when the focus knob stopped working. I sent them in as instructed on the Vortex web site and after 3+ weeks still had not got them back and I'm leaving Friday for a scouting trip. I sent their CS an email late Thursday night simply asking for an update on when they might be returned given my upcoming trip. Well, today via UPS Next Day Air, I received a brand new pair of Kaibab 18x56 binos. I mean brand spanking new. Pretty durn awesome. A HUGE thanks to Vortex and Kathy K. for my excellent customer service. Eddie

I thought I was clear when I said I moved out of state 2 years ago which indicates I’m not an AZ resident any longer. I purposely added my number and have nothing to hide. I know how to buy a gun legally. Here’s a thought - mind your own business 1 person has added to this thread. Nothing but trolls on CWT anymore...

Get a list of stuff you need and keep an eye out for deals. Buy stuff little by little. Like said above, if its 9mm, 223, or the heavy magnums, good luck finding supplies right now. I reload for 708 and 338LM. I can reload 708 all day. But I cant find my powder for 338. Everything depends on what you're looking for.

Much congratulations on your success! It takes a lot out of you to grind it out, especially in your unit. Thanks so much for sharing your success with us.

If you could PM the GPS cords, I can take a closer look and verify the colors. Years ago in 36B, I took a grey colored Coues and my bud shot one that was red like that, only it's whole body was red. I'll try to get him to send a pic and I'll post it.

I would have never noticed their color differences with that head gear.....

My son and I scouted hard all summer, he named a buck that was coming in regular “eye guards”. After some tough misses on opening day, Saturday about 2:00 pm eye guards came strolling in and Tanner capitalized on him with one 50 yard shot, the buck ran 100 yards and piled up. He is still on cloud nine, I’m super proud of him. For those that care he rough green scored 111”.

Looked at tons of country but there are tons of cattle. Only saw one elk. I think we may actually be too high. The country couldn’t be more picture perfect.

Lots of good pointers here. My daughter did well sitting and shooting from a bipod, but I agree supporting the butt of the rifle is helpful. Lots of practice with the rifle, especially finding the target in the scope (practice aiming at specific rocks, trees, whatever...something besides a standard target and harder to see) 100% agree with making sure to keep it fun for him. Don’t make the tag the focus...the whole experience and exploring should be fun too. If you spend a lot of time glassing, consider having something for him to do even if it’s a phone or tablet. I don’t know any kids that enjoy glassing for very long. I usually keep a BB gun in the truck for my kids to plink around while I’m glassing if it’s safe.
