My daughters first limit of doves.

Been finally seeing some nice bulls. This morning was awesome. Cows chirping and bulls fighting. I had a decent 6x6 come over to me. I had to scare him off so I could get a shot at the bull that just whooped his but. Got busted by some mule bucks that were hanging out with the elk. 6x6 kept coming back to fight me so we had to pull back.

Either way...ask for help if you need it and don’t shoot a small bull. You’ve helped enough folks on here over the years...plus Kev will cry if you shoot a small one.

I’ll bite! I was fortunate to take this great buck last Friday on the Bab. It was a tough year but there were some great bucks out there. This was the last night of my 14 day hunt.

Even hunters and shooters refer to live ammo as "bullets", so no telling what the general public thinks/knows.

Had a good bull come in with cows tonight in 5bs with my boy. We were scouting for a buddies hunt. He was going off pretty good with seven cows. Best part was in the end when my son said “that is the coolest thing I have ever seen” as the bull chuckled and threw leaves everywhere with his antlers.

It shouldn't matter. Their contract with UPS means they operate under the same basic rules. Otherwise the private stores would be able to invoke all sorts of rules and prices. The problem seems more of an interpretation of the actual rule, i.e. what a scope is, by the individuals involved.

Just what I love about this forum. Sean, I think it's 3a 3b? Not sure how the 3s all integrate together for hunts. Never paid attention until recently now that we're looking to move. Daniel was one of the guys offering to help many times when I was a newbie here. Just wanna pay it back This guy picked up my deer mount up in Phoenix to bring it down to me on his way back from Cali. Dude straight up walked into the wrong persons back yard thinking it was there waiting for him. Somehow I had the address wrong or something. Poor bastard coulda got shot or mauled by a pit bull just trying to-do me a favor. If somebody deserves some cwt love, it is this guy!

1.5 day Pacifica trip limited out on Dodo and yft... Hit an open water school of Dorado about 7:30 and in about 15 mins we were limited out. I've never seen a bite like that before. Just drop a bait in right at the boat and 10 fish are swarming the bait. We started with #4 hooks and 20# flouro but I quickly went to #2 and 30 and didn't notice any difference. They were pretty aggressive. We switched to jigs to try to get down through them to the tuna. Worked pretty well but still released a pile of Dodos. One pretty cool trick a deckhand showed me was to use a small flatfall, cast it way out and burn it in on top. The Dodo don't really like it to begin with but the tuna will come up and smash it. After leaving behind 2 other schools of Dodos that we found while troling, we finally found a school of yft and quickly limited out on them as well. Coltsnipers in the 120g was the smallest I had but still got plenty of action. (I'd suggest going smaller too) Every bite but 1 was on the retrieve. Rip it back up and the slightest pause got hit. Candy Iwashi and green Mack did very well. These were 10-15# footballs but still a ton of fun. If you go, you had better be able to tie your own lines and hooks and have pliers because you may be waiting a long time for help when the action is that crazy.

Updates from the Show low area: we have heard a handful of bugles the last couple days early in the morning but they seem to shut up around 8am. Seeing bulls with cows, bulls with bulls, and cows alone. 0-10 on the rut scale, if 0 is bulls mounting other bulls and 10 is non-stop bugle fest from dawn to dusk, I think we are about a 2.5... Opening morning we had a couple of bulls including the one below in a canyon that must have had a hot cow in it. They were going nuts! But it lasted for about an hour or two and then shut off. We had them at about 100 yards before bumping them. IMG_5478.MOV

Congrats! Since it is a peccary my vote from here on out is that they are called PECCERS... Have to be careful who you tell you are going peccer hunting! 😂
